Well, at least you'll be able to get back on.
I was worried for little bit.

Oh.  Yeah, I also have difficulty understanding someone else's code.  I don't know what they were thinking when they wrote it.  (Which is why commented code is much easier for me to understand)
Well, good luck! I hope you can make this faster.  It's a really cool concept.
I have an idea for a different light-dark game, but that's on my "plan to plan to do list," so it will be awhile. :P

Wow....a lot of posts in one day. :D
I also think you have the highest respect-to-post ratio. It's undefined. :P

So...yeah.  Welcome to Omnimaga!

I think that's b/c it's crazy optimized.  See if you can get the un-optimized version and compare the two.

It's been proving nearly impossible to up the speed (and I don't really want to progress without increasing the speed of the shadows), but I've done some drastic optimizations to the shadow routine, so I think the problems in my tilemapping routine.
Did you check out the smooth scrolling tilemapper thread? there were some insanely fast tilemappers in there.

There is no way that could be a coincidence...

Did you put them on click site/ERs? HMMMMM??????
* MRide goes insane b/c people are not using click site/ERs
You can't get views unless the image is hosted on dragcave, so you have to use click sites.

804. You think the topic name should be changed by now to read >9000 signs you're addicted to calcs and omni.
805. You are waiting patiently until you can be the one to post #1000.  (or 1337 or 9001 or ...)

Well, after several variations of my search on deviantART, I didn't really find what I was looking for.  I'll put this out there and see what you all come up with.
So, this is the closest I came, so I'll use that as a base.  The human part is good, but maybe show the rest of the legs.  As for the wings, I would prefer bat/dragon wings.  I'll see if I can find a good example.
So, I would like this to be my avatar, so it needs to fit reasonably in that space.  I don't care if it's pencil or full color.
The character should be completely visible (no background and and limbs in drawing), and facing forwards, or a little turned to the right or left.
If anyone wants an extra challenge, try drawing a jacket on the figure.
If this is too hard, I apologize.  This doesn't need to be perfect or prize-winning amazing.

Yeah, but how long does it take to make even an engine for a computer game?
I can do one in under twenty minutes (maybe <10) in BASIC.

get a neglected dragon?
The only people who know (those who have them) won't say anything.
The first theory I'm trying is hiding/ fogging the egg until it has less than a day left, then putting it on all the click sites and ERs to hatch it.

Yeah, but I suppose if you attach the tag 'BASIC' or 'ASM'/'Axe' to a game, there are different standards, too.
