I agree with what's been said so far. I think its funny that they think all we use the calcs for is games. have they not seen the 9000 quadratic solvers on ticalc? One of them also mentioned that TI Cares is helpful. There is a thread or two around here which proves the exact opposite.

Yeah, no pressure. You've only got the whole community checking back here as often as possible for updates. j/k EDIT: 50th post!

Well, if its set in older times, with swords and stuff, then I think archeowyrm sounds better. If its more modern, then go with Twin-Serpent.

This XKCD cartoon got mentioned on the tinspire Google group. By merely posting a link to the news on /., the probable trigger for the XKCD cartoon, mentioning that most commenters on /. missed the point, and later explaining some of the points that had been missed, I eventually triggered a post full of flamebait, cluelessness, disrespect and even slander from someone with tremendous blinders: Nelson Sousa. And you haven't seen his private mails, where he kept top-posting twice after I explained him that it was bad and that avoiding it was a basic netiquette rule...
Full topic at http://groups.google.com.au/group/tinspire/browse_thread/thread/2978472efdd30e01 . But don't even try wasting your time with the people on the tinspire group: most of them are North-American-minded (copyright, licensing, etc. - instead of encouraging creativity) teachers who hate games, and are happy to stay undisturbed together among like-minded individuals... You aren't going to convince them that their opinions suck.
Relatively interesting read. Shows the other side (opposite of open community). I did not read the entire topic but too bad no one noted that was released a fractal program by Levak and a better TI-84+SE emulator to Nspire so development to Nspire is not game oriented. They see ticalc news and Nelson admits don't visit TI-Bank.
Side note: For some reason I thought I would not be comfortable if I met Nelson Sousa.
From Nelson Sousa: "ticalc.org's forum is almost near to useless" Uh....ticalc doesn't actually have a forum, and he didn't mention omnimaga, cemetech, or TIBD.

Vista on both desktop and laptop. Why are Vista and 7 the same option?
Personally Vista kind of reminds me of TI-OS 2.53. A lot of things that worked previously don't work now.

Personaly, I've always thought that the Omnimaga logo and the mention of "Omnimaga Productions" inside games/programs should be reserved for staff, but mentioning Omnimaga in the readme (possibly as a place where to find help about the program) should be for anyone.
Well, that depends. If the author got quite a bit of help from Omnimaga, then I would say use the logo. However, I do agree with you. something should be set aside just for the staff to use.

TI-BASIC: Intermediate-Advanced C++: Intermediate Java: gimme six months and I'll be at intermediate. (or advanced) programming in unary using the letter O instead of 0: unbelievably advanced (I like unary) j/k (this is from The Dilbert Principle, I believe)

Mine is fairly cluttered (with me having three younger sisters and all).
I remember when I drew a picture of the infinity symbol in MS paint large enough so you could see it in the icon on the desktop. Sadly, someone deleted it. :'(

If you're looking for a beginner tutorial, this one works well http://tibasicdev.wikidot.com/sk:introduction(Not sure if you already have it, but it starts out pretty basic (or is it BASIC?))

Oh. wow...... Thanks. this whole thing was driving me crazy (sitting in a Dairy Queen with my calc, no access to a computer, and randomly changing numbers) Sorry you had to track down the bug. My mind doesn't seem to work right late at night.
