Back in the day it was crazy over at ticalc. When the archivers started making categories it was a major help. And I agree on the ratings, it was a cool idea but got abused. People would downrate something because it wasnt as good as they thought it should be. When back then and now they dont realize how hard it was to get some of the awesome programs as good as they are.

I think the flicker is due to his screen capture software/emu. I was meaning to ask him if he knows how Lachprog gets his beautiful screenies.

The difference between our version and theirs, was by far better graphics and we actually had a physics engine. We could release our physics engine I guess if you wanted to roll around some ramps and stuff. But really it was just us getting the engine done. I don't want to make it sound like this is ours and nobody should help because that isnt the case. It's just when you spend a lot of time on something you hate to just give it up to someone else.
The plan was to incorporate jim's tilemapper so really we are pretty close. You'll see an update when Digi is done with RW I'm sure. It kinda sucked that the sonic.unitedti.org site was not put back up, because it made it easier to see some of the progress and mockups we had made instead of searching through a large thread. 155

Wow that is pretty cool. I like how it handles that scripting.

It will be finished eventually. If not by me and digi, I know we will post the code if we cant get it done.
Edit:Hmm, I remember we did at least discuss disassembling the game gear version and might have had a copy. Ya mike, raiser and me redid most of the graphics. 157

Sonic actually got pretty far...I know because I worked on it. Me and digi have been busy with other stuff. I know I just dont have the time and he must be about the same because I havent seen a RW update in a while.

I wish the new Sonic would have looked more like this one does.

I've had over 3 years of Java programming...and I've been meaning to get into C# for XNA development. I'm rather busy at the moment and am stuck with my dual bootable mac. Maybe once I got a machine dedicated to Windows 7 I could offer more help.

Sounds great... I think you meant something other than: "In third place, there is Squidgetx" unless they are all in a race or something.
They all have some cool Axe projects. The Nspire is clearly the way TI is moving so its good to have somebody with as much talent as ExtendeD to counter their every move. 164

Other Calculators / Re: Revolution Software is Staff Searching« on: October 31, 2010, 01:10:31 am »
Well the staff searching is over, thanks to everybody who sent me in stuff!
I know we'll be looking again around spring time so hit me up. I'd love to see what you've accomplished. The new army of darkness...I mean RevSoft staff members are: Deep Thought, Hot_Dog and Raylin. They all bring something a little different to the table and all of them have interesting stuff in the works. I'm gonna do my best to keep things rolling over at RS. We/I do have some interesting stuff coming. So stay tuned. Thanks again, -Madskillz |
