Sorry on RS not being updated...I'm currently without a job and money, as well as trying to finish up this iPhone project for school. However I still dont have access to the hosting so I cant upload anything anyhow. I've sent a message to Kevin, but just as a heads up I probably wont able to bring out the new layout until the end of July. I should be more active as well around that time because I will finally be done with school and this iPhone project. Just thought I would keep you guys posted.

Hmmm....The game ran great when I got to it, however the text was all jumbled in the menu and then once I died the score was all jumbled. I ran this on an 84+ SE...did anybody else have this problem. This is my first time checking out Axe and any Axe game, I plan to go through some other games to see if it is an issue will all the axe games I try.

The thing is that a lot of the French or Dutch ti site members speak English pretty well. When people born and raised in the good ol' red white and blue really dont speak many other languages beside English well. I can speak a bit of Spanish and I took Latin in high school but could I hold a conversation not likely. Unlike those in other countries who are taught at least one other language as well as their native one. Its no wonder our schooling lacks compared to other countries. I do like to see the stats though of all the English ti sites.

IMHO, Contra 83, Robot Wars, Geometry Wars and Orbit are games that deserves as much a feature/POTY place as games like Super Mario, Zelda, etc. It's a shame that they are not getting featured on ticalc. I asked them many times, to no avail. Either their standards are way too high, or they just don't care enough about the community.

However, maybe a seasonal award could be a better idea? Also, I think projects shouldn't be featured unless they have a demo or beta that is fully playable and have enough features in its current state. They wouldn't be allowed to be nominated twice, though, if finished.
Seasonal would be cool, I just think it would be tough to find new fresh stuff throughout the community to feature. I never understood why Contra never got featured. Bryan did a bang up job on it. Geometry Wars and Robot Wars are both extremely well done and are also worthy of features.

I say only finished projects or extremely well done beta versions. Something like wizards would be an example of those extremely well done betas.

Yep that would be the one. Brings back memories of how impressive/awesome it was.

Wow, that is really awesome. Does it remind anyone else of George's old game that he was working on? I cant remember what it was called, but it had similar aspects with parts of the map placed on the top of the sprite. For example when he walked under an archway.

Well it sucks to see you go again, and this time permanently. You have been a great asset to the community and have definitely provided a great haven for programmers of all languages and non-programmers alike. I'm sure Omnimaga will continue to strive.

On a side note, I have been thinking its about time for me to call it quits too. I seem to be going in the other direction though. I am moving on to mobile development and bigger projects that I just dont have time for calcs as much as I used too. I do plan to finish a good majority of my projects though. So you wont see me fully gone until they are done.
well as said in my initial post, chances that I completly leave are not 100%. IN fact they are low. It's just programming that I am most likely gonna move on from. I love the community and what people create, but I cannot seem to go at a lower level programming than I am right now. I guess my speciality was limited to RPGs after all... but sadly, I got bored of creating RPGs, since they take so long to create and requires so much thoughts for what to add in them and time to debug

I hope if you quit calc stuff that you still show up around from time to time. :)
-Programming is tough, and I know you're a capable guy it just takes a lot of time. We all have busy lives and finding that time to sit down and really get down and dirty with a language is hard to come by. So I understand where you're coming from. You know how long projects can really drag on a coder and cause a coder to lose interest. Working on RPGs doesnt help that issue any either.

As for me I wont be gone this year for sure, not until I can bring some life back into RS at least.

The problem with forums like RevSoft and Maxcoderz is that we are both pretty specific. Let's be honest you come for the projects and that is about it. We generally dont post about what is going on outside of our own little sites. We sometimes post stuff, but it is pretty RS specific or MC specific. Unlike places like UTI or here were you have a wide variety of groups coming together and discussing, all sorts of different areas of the calcs/community. Which is great, I think that is really important and it's good that everybody is so accommodating. I think there are a lot of stuff coming from all around in the future that is going to be pretty impressive. I see a bright future ahead with a lot of cool projects to get excited about, some we havent seen yet and some in the works for a long time finally getting closer to see the light of day.

The plan is to integrate the two. Similar to what you guys have here as well as UTIs setup. I dont see the point in keeping the news separate like we currently have, plus it makes it easier for us to post news only in one place instead of two.

Congrats guys...that is really impressive. It was cool looking at all the past numbers from all of the sites. It's a little harder for more specific groups to pull in the number you guys do and consistently. You guys are about the only TI related site/forum that I see actually improving, and improving at a good clip.

Well the layout isnt going to change all that much...in fact Spencer thought it was almost exactly the same, what I've added now doesnt make it look all that similar but it is pretty close. I basically combined our original site and our latest together to kinda remember the past, as well as cleaned up some links. I'm trying to make it more user friendly for us to get news out as well as users to find out about our projects with out having to weed through useless stuff.

I sent a pm to kevin about the hosting...we are working on it so it wont happen again. Thanks Brandon on the offer but I think we're ok for now. I dont think we plan on letting RS go down like that again. We want to stay up as long as we can and as long as we are providing a service to the community.

Looks great, I was wondering kinda the same thing on the controls...what they are currently and if you had plans to switch them to the more traditional vertical position. Great work though, the speed looks good. Keep it up!

RevSoft is back up now...nothing has changed website/forum wise as of yet, but I'll role out updates throughout the summer. Starting with a new website layout hopefully this month. All things wabbit related should now be able to be downloaded from the forum if you couldnt find it in any of the other sources.

edit: As you can see it coming back took by surprise and I've been busy with school this past month and didnt notice that you guys had posted that it was up already ha.

Miscellaneous / Re: End of activity peak?

Mhmm, wouldn't it be the other way around Madskillz? Summer goes from June 21st to September 21st, meaning you would normally be less active when June starts. Maybe they should rename your Summer class to Spring class :P
-Well I'm done with my college classes, and since I was done in the first week of May, my summer class started the second week of may. I get a month off to work on a final project and then come back to finish the class up in July. This is my last class and I graduate, which is good and bad in many ways. But I'm looking forward to being done at least for one year.
