Yeah, Linux is awesome.
I really need to install a Linux distribution someday.

Do you need any help? If you want, I could try getting something up, if you wanted me to.

Did you know that you can program and run Python on nearly any Android smartphone? You can literally whip out your phone and start programming on the run -- it's like a calculator on steroids! (although support for graphics is nearly nonexistant, as far as I can tell, so games are out) http://code.google.com/p/android-scripting/You can also do Lua, Perl, jRuby, and a few other languages, I think. This is so awesome: I just had to share.

It depends. It can take place at home, at the tutor's home... Sometimes, schools actually set up tutoring systems, where students in older grades help students in younger grades, etc.
It varies, but it's always one-on-one.

I am currently self-taught, but am investigating the possibility of taking programming classes over the summer.
I guess I could try to learn everything on my own, and it might even be possible with the internet, but of course, it's nice to have somebody to guide me to consider things I normally wouldn't have thought about.

If it hasn't been already mentioned, an axiom focused around better graphics support.
Specifically, flood-fill, drawing polygons (not necessarily concave or complex, just convex would probably be adequate), and maybe support for quickly drawing curves (by implementing something like bezier curves, for example).
Although really, just having polygons would be epic.

Garamond is my favorite.
Edit: Although for some reason, it's really small...

I'm also working on a program that can tokenize and detokenize Axe files. Currently, it can turn 8xp to Axe, and I'm almost finished with Axe to 8xp (obviously, not compiled). I just need a few hours to work on getting checksums to work.

I agree with the mock-up idea.
Once you satisfy their urge to create an visually pleasing website, you can then focus on the content.

Well, that's a bit too general for me.
I'm looking for specifics about the TI-8x branch of calcs.

Can somebody give me a quick summary on how memory in RAM is organized, or suggest a good guide?
Specifically, which portions of RAM are free RAM, which parts should I generally leave alone, which parts do the OS use (and for what purpose), which parts does Axe use, where is the VAT located, etc...

Ah. I was wondering why it was in the calc projects section.
Oh. Is the storyline going to be a surprise, then?

So...
Is this a calculator project?
What's it about?
