Lua / Re: Updating WZGUILib

Thanks :)
Oh, well I didn't really look into the latest versions yet (or I just looked over the switch), so I didn't see yours yet.
I would rather stay with a version that is similar to this one, than the one you told 2 posts ago (with the green 'light'), I've seen that one, and tbh I really don't like it, it looks weird imo, but that's completely personal

I would (personally) not recommand using a touch screen. I don't know what your intentions are, but touch screen are nice for phones etc, but I rather use physical buttons to type in numbers etc, and I don't think I'm the only one thinking that, so make sure you still make it portable when you would ad buttons, 7 inch is quite big for a calc imo, but if it works well, it can only be nice to work with

Here's a pic of the Android ICS (4.0) switch:

and fyi, here's a pic of my entire gui I told you about some pages ago, it is based on that android ics gui, as you can see:

Looks good, if I were you, I would make some holes from the connector to the back of the dock for some wires, so you can keep it neatly organised.
and maybe make the bottom corners round, like the Nspire's, that'll make it look more beautiful :)

What about Super Crate Box?

I saw the topic about the 84 version, and thought that that game should be possible, because there's no need for exact pixel-movement.
I also updated the first post with the ideas :) but that's not much yet

So, you're able to select a theme yourself, or will that only be known at the starting date of the contest?

And nice, very nice to see this new kind of contest, it'll require much more knowledge to reach the finals, that's great :)

"Booty", what a wonderful name, I love it xp

and nice, does that mean it is fully customiseable now?

nspireio has uart_getc() and uart_getline() implementations.
Thanks, never realised that

Calculator C / Nspire RS232 communication
« on: January 29, 2013, 12:36:49 pm »
Hi

I was looking for some tutorial or example code about the RS232 reading/writing stuff from the Nspire, but I did not find anything yet (I found the stuff on hackspire, but there's no code there if I'm not mistaken)
Has someone written some code to do this?

What I want to do is reading and writing from/to the serial port, because of the reading part it has to be done in C, unless there's another solution I don't know about.

Thanks
Nick

And AFAICT functions from a lib are only included if they are acctually used, isn't it?
I don't know how the ndless sdk does it, but most compilers don't include functions that are not used, so having too much functions doesn't really matter, since they don't get compiled

WOOOO, wonderful! you did a great job epic7 :)

this looks amazing, i love the interface (maybe the color is somehow flashy), but it's clear and simple.
the only thing i can say is that your 'shop' is the repair shop in the real game.

It would be amazing to see this become reality, do it, I know how to program in C, so I might be able to help too (I never programmed C for ndless though).

A decent (graphic based) RPG would be nice to see on the Nspire, I don't think there really are, or did I miss them?

Site Feedback and Questions / Re: OmnomIRC timeout error
« on: January 26, 2013, 10:16:55 am »
I currently host OmnomIRC, and I'm sorry for the downtime! My VPS provider is having some issues on their side, so my VPS node is currently down, therefore making my VPS (and OmnomIRC) down. Rest assured - this isn't a hit-and-run VPS provider, and this issue should hopefully be fixed soon!
Oh, ok then, no problem, thanks for doing that much effort, and thanks for hosting :)

Site Feedback and Questions / OmnomIRC timeout error
« on: January 26, 2013, 07:42:36 am »
Hi

Since yesterday night (about 11 hours ago), I started getting this error:

I have no clue what causes the problem, I'm logged in correctly, so that's not the reason.
Also, it gives this error (I couldn't show in the picture, or had to post 2):
Error 118 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT): The operation timed out.

I guess that's because the server doesn't react, but I didn't see any topics yet, so I thought I might be the only one, am I?
