Welcome to the forums :)smile.gif

All you need to get started is Learn Assembly in 28 Days, and notepad.

Welcome to Omnimaga. :)smile.gif

Sounds like a nice project. Do you have an estimate on how many maps you'll have?

And you will be using strings? Dumb question, but big or little font? (Characterized by Output for big and Text for little.) (Ha ha, characterized, get it? okay *_*)

If you ever plan on another release, you can replace the Pause function so it waits until 2nd is pressed.

Wow, thanks for the kind wrap-up guys :Dbiggrin.gif. It should be noted that without you guys xLIB would never have eventuated, so you all deserve a pat-on-the-back for that :)smile.gif.

Ill look into some basic sound stuff, it should be relatively simple to include. A TIOS version function is also a good idea ... i could tie that in with the Calc model function.

I made xLIB for all of you guys. I did my best and hopefully it will help you out with your projects.

I am indeed working on some other projects, you will find out soon :)smile.gif.

:bow:worship.gif Your supreme all knowing is only rivaled by Wikipedia.

I haven't used xlib yet for any of my own doings, but it looks like I'll have to start. :)smile.gif

Already working on it :)smile.gif

TI-BASIC / [TI-BASIC] Can you make this faster?

A few simple optimizations, not tested.
I don't know if it'll be faster though.c1-->

128 character matrix screen = 1163 byte matrix
128 character string screen = 139 byte string

Hit detection with matrix = simple as {row,column}
Hit detection with string = complex formula (column width)*row-(column width)+column

your choice from here...

On the last page there was some conversation about strings, so I thought you should know this:

Along with downloading the programs, groups, etc., have a GDB file also, which contains Y= vars, parametric, and polar. All those equations will contain a mere quote, which makes them strings!

Example:
Y1="Quote

Output(1,1,Y1 would print Quote!

And best of all, you can use different functions than the current mode!

Usage in programs: you know, just set to Seq if you need the graphscreen.

Congratulations, you now have 38 string variables.
