Other Calculators / TI-Nspire CAS

Is TI seriously running that low on ideas? A bunch of z80 asm'ers could come up with a better calc than that (if being paid to do it I bet)!

I've been thinking, if I'm using xLib anyway I might as well do full sprites, or even grayscale. But the layered text was my main gimmick, so I'm not sure.

Nspire for PC??? Sounds like an emulator, nothing special...
But will it be the CAS or the noCAS model?...

Miscellaneous / We Love You xlibman!
« on: December 27, 2006, 05:21:00 am »
As always, I picked a great day to not go online. XDsmiley.gif Every time I did that, something like this happens here, and I'm getting tired of missing all the fun.
Don't leave Omni. Don't leave the community. And please don't even think of leaving the world.
Take a vacation. Get into spirituality or meditation or something that can help make you feel better. Online dating. I don't care, just get happier!
Being one of the community's main legends could make you think that we have uber high expectations for you, but I don't. I only expect you to be the helpful guy you always have been.

So goodbye, if that's how it's going to be.
But if it isn't, and I hope so, then Good luck for tomorrow.

Testing Pixel man would be tough without the days of playtime I probably have... I even found a never-lose-a-life glitch, by entering the other world's password when pix-man is sinking when you die.

Multiplayer tanks? Yes.

Other Calc-Related Projects and Ideas / Screen Moving With Person

You want the screen to scroll when the whatever-you-control (if its an RPG I'm not assuming its a person :Ptongue.gif) gets to the edge? That's tough from a beginner perspective. Let's see what I remember from when I did it...

I did it with plots, and changed the window when your plot approached X/Y Min/Max.

Put that in terms of xlib and you're good.

Those screenshots me like. *goes to demo*

By the way how's PixelMan (if it is at all)? I was able to get to World 2 of the old demo (the uber hard/fullscreen pixel one). I'm still addicted to it...

Pokémon Purple / PokePurple, progress

IIRC it was all random. Although I've never had battles four steps in a row, or lack of battles for an extended amount of time.
What you could do, if you thought it was a big enough problem, is have a variable for counting steps until next 'random battle' by doing a randInt(5,50 or something when one battle ends, then decrement the var when sub(Str,your_position,1)=grass.
Get all that? :)smile.gif

On a semi-related note, the new D/P have an official American release date: April 22 2007.
