I don't really know what it's like to be depressed (though some lousy middle school guidance office guys think I do. :angry:)

First it was a full-time pause menu display, taking away the 'pause' from the 'menu.' Quite annoying after seeing it the entire time.
Then I decided to try it as a stat display area. But with nine stats, the quote, "That's one heck of a HUD!" was somewhat discouraging.
Next I thought about having it a simple blank space for NPC dialogue. That's right, a hideous empty half-screen.
Currently, I'm about to give up the idea of splitscreen for more maps. But with my overlap method, it's 4x more maps. I need that memory.

This is the big issue, right before I start asking about the battle system.
What do you think should be on the bottom of the screen? I have ~30 pixel rows to work with.

Ok, I started thinking you would also integrate sunlight, however pointless it would be.

It would be great if its name was more truthful; (multi-platform).
Someone should port this to more calcs, or it could become the interpreted language for http://brazucs.unitedti.org/vera/forum/.

I don't recall anyone hating you; you're a good addition to the community. I say, unless you are very good at multitasking, to focus on one language at a time. That is the reason I haven't released anything worthwhile yet, I try a different language every week. Last week was C, now it's Greek. (I don't understand how either.)

I know it's a tough time for you (and other people here), but always remember you can come back.
I know you can get emotional sometimes, maybe even lose control for a minute. I get the same way, though not here. Me irl is a scary thing.

But, you know the standard things we're saying. Have a good time, if you can try to find a hobby you like (don't try too hard; we do want you to come back!), and relax.
