I read topics but usually don't post.

Interesting, somehow the conversation usually ends up with me posting that. ^^ This is at least #7...

He was only five or six, it was something you would expect from the age.
I know there were other silly things he said but I can't remember them anymore. :(sad.gif

I wouldn't know, I only have a GBC version and calc version. I'm missing at least 10 other years of Mario greatness...

From my observations, Goombas go left/right/fall off platforms and koops just stay on top.

Self-control can't be easy to achieve. [hmm, now I'm talking like it's a religion/meditation state ^^]
Luckily we made something called the UN to help enforce selfcontrol throughout the world.

Okay, I'll consider that when thinking about the speed. All the data for a single enemy will be compressed into a single list item.

So do I. I believe civilized = consciousness - instincts. Take control of yourself and you've taken control of 3 billion years of trial and error evolution. (Or whatever you believe, this is just my idea.)

If speed ever becomes a concern, it'll be because of enemies.

On that subject, which seems like a better idea: Enemies moving all the time, or enemies only moving onscreen when you can see them?

Do you mean Repeat getKey:End? It is useful most of the time.

Another trick I like I used in GQES to boost speed:c1-->
CODE
ec1Repeat (long keypress condition here)
Repeat Ans
(grayscaling code here)
getKey
End
End
Ans->Kc2
ec2The long condition slowed down the loop on every cycle. This way fixes that.

I just remembered this:

I went to see the movie Batman Begins (it was okay) but someone brought their little kid.

He was... a hyperactive talker. Throughout the movie there were loud comments like: "Mom, do you know how batman turns into batman because I know how batman turns into batman HE GETS BITTEN BY A BAT AND TURNS INTO BATMAN!!!!"

The fifth argument can also be a variable, useful in Paint programs with eraser mode...

I have a feeling this rant will quickly get out of hand...

But yes, unneccessary noise during a movie STINKS.
