You may have thought I wasn't working on this recently. I am. And now it is time to reveal more pointless information that doen't fit in here...
About a year ago, I was a frequent player of the online game Runescape. Then one day the comp wouldn't recognize the java plugin, so I couldn't play anymore.
The first thing my creative mind told me was, "Hey, make your own RPG!" Thus the tabletop game The War of Mmruda was slowly born one weekend afternoon. The only thing that kept it alive was the thought that Moridel was a cool word.
It started out simple, because I never before got a taste of the outside world and didn't know what to do. I found some people to help out, and the basis of Version One was formed, complete with all my childish ideas.
http://www.unitedti.org/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=573Then came last summer, and the ideas slowly morphed. Only four battles had taken place, and I wanted my game to catch on. Thus evolved War of Mmruda Trading Card Game...didn't last long at all, but converting spellbooks to five individual spell cards was easy, and 100+ cards made it to set one.
Back to the original plan, I still only had the antilaziness to make the starter items. I had over forty weapons to make official, more than thirty beasts, and no spells (The Codex of Magic was supposed to be done last week, for the tenth week in a row.
)
Luckily over the summer I got a calc, and thus version five of The War of Mmruda is slowly unfolding...
notes and edits: I'm sure I forgot something up there, so reply and I'll remember.
As you can see now, the whole point of Mmruda is the battle engine, which is now top priority.
