I didnt knew 68k limited file size O_Oshocked2.gif

seems small for a 68k game so far, at least you should be able to package everything together :)smile.gif

Well... The actual size of the data files prior to compression is over 500Kb. O_Oshocked2.gif

Yeah... I did not know about that limit until International Karate 68K v1.5.

sound nice. Question: how big the game is right now? (compiled?)

Well... it's getting pretty big... currently 49Kb for the uncompressed game engine and 165Kb for data files.

The largest file allowed for 68K calc is ~64Kb. Above 64Kb I will need to start using libraries (which I don't want to use). But, I have about 10Kb of data that I can remove from the game engine. So, essentially, I have about 24Kb of game engine space left to complete combat, merchants, and other misc things. It will be close, but I know it can be done! ;)wink.gif

Ultima V Update:

- Tilemap engine rework nearly complete. I am just checking to make sure everything still works. It was a big change!
- 'Search' is working now. Search for hidden items. Still need to add support for hidden doors and treasure chest traps.
- 'Get' is working. Get items such as torches and items. Still need to add support for treasure chest.

I like the awaits...it sounds more like this is the site to find it at and once you enter the links and the forums, you'll find them.

Oh... I get it now. Sometimes I can be a little slow. :zzz:sommeil.gif

Thanks Tenniskid!

BTW: Didn't anyone like my joke above?

nvm I alerady found :)smile.gif if I find better fonts here I might change them again. I decided to take "A New Coding Utopia Awaits as slogan" :)smile.gif

Hmmm... Utopia

It is funny you chose that name... Utopia was a SimCity stype RPG for the Mattel Intellivision in 1982. I love that old machine.

I'm not sure if I like the "Awaits". That implies it may never arrive.

[just joking]

How about "Utopia V: Coders of Destiny"?  :lmao:ptdr.gif

"Your Calculator RPG Headquarters" really provided Omnimaga a solid identity. :)smile.gif

You knew exactly where to go if you are looking for calculator RPGs. :hi:coucou.gif

However, I am always open to new ideas. ;)wink.gif

People say that Christmas is a celebration of Christ, but it has be researched, and Jesus was born in October... Notice how all the elves in the older pictures seemed always disfigured? Would that be something demonic...? It raises interesting questions if you ask me...

Think of it as a belated birthday.

You are right, most religious scholars agree that Jesus the Christ was not born in December.

Sometimes it is easier to keep the tradition than to "rock the boat."

A skiff is not so much a raft as a small flat-bottomed boat.

I agree. Your definition is more accurate. :)smile.gif

Hey thanks a lot :)smile.gif I KNOW Ultima V will be there.

Thank you too! There's gonna be some stiff competition in the 83/84 category if everyone at Omnimaga finishes their project next year. TiFreak may have 4 entries next year.

Hmmm... Could 2006 be the year that Omnimaga floods Ticalc with an abundance of great programs? I think so. ;)wink.gif

could you explain what is a frigate and a skiff? My poor english is lacking this two words :Dbiggrin.gif

A frigate is an older word for a large sea-going ship.

A skiff is a older word for a small raft, unsuitable for the deep seas.
