QuoteBegin-Kevin+1 November 2005, 18:17--> QUOTE (Kevin @ 1 November 2005, 18:17) | yeah I saw now everyone in the top 10 poster lists have at least 100 posts. Tifreak8x is the only one who can have a custom member title so far though (since he has over 500 posts) |
Top Ten Posters list? :ph43r: Uhhhh... Where is that? Nice job Spellshaper! :thumb: This is geting very interesting. We seem to be at the same stage with our RPGs. I was telling Kevin... this combat stuff is hard! So many professional looking RPGs are coming out for the 83/84 calcs. I'm jealous. Just think what we could accomplish if we pooled our efforts into a single RPG. Wow! Hmmm... now that's an idea. %)

QuoteBegin-Kevin+1 November 2005, 9:04--> QUOTE (Kevin @ 1 November 2005, 9:04) | i doubt it, I found no options to do it |
I did it twice too! But, I guess since I used the same name and zip code, it appended to my first one.

Agreed...
I was just looking out for you. I didn't want you to get burned. The T21 is a very nice laptop.

QuoteBegin-tifreak8x+31 October 2005, 19:27--> QUOTE (tifreak8x @ 31 October 2005, 19:27) | IBM T21 Laptop
It has Pentium 4 Processor 1.6Ghz |
I love the IBM Thinkpad T20, T21, T22, and T23. I have used them at work a number of times.
BUT...
Watch out tifreak... the T21 only has a 800MHz P3 (not a 1.6GHz P4). Could this be a "typo"? Maybe the seller meant T31? Or, maybe it actually is a T21 and the seller typed in the wrong processor.
I would definitely ask before purchasing.
I would recommend the T2x series specifically because the have high speed Pentium 3 processors from 700MHz to 1.1GHz. Did you know that a 1GHz P3 can do as much work as a 1.4GHz P4 in the same amount of time?

It is already gone in my area too. That is too bad for such a good movie.
Well... Hopefully, it should be back in the "Dollar" theaters and on DVD soon.

QuoteBegin-Lionel Debroux+28 October 2005, 1:59--> QUOTE (Lionel Debroux @ 28 October 2005, 1:59) | ... There IS a BIG problem in the community. Now, it comes to public announcements of intentional sabotage / destruction of other people's work for no valid reason ! I mean, that you don't like something and you are in such a position that you can (try to) impose your views is not a valid reason... |
That reminds me of what happenned to Space Hawk (a very impressive game) when it was announced. It was flamed for simply being a "space shooter". One of the guys was a very reputable programmer. He should have been ashamed of himself.
Don't forget about "secret" flaming by the way of low file ratings. That is just as bad as public flaming. But, since it is anonymous so you are unable to defend yourself. I think some people rate files low to help out their own file's ranking. If true... that would be dispicable. You could call this "artificial file ranking".

QuoteBegin-dragon__lance+27 October 2005, 15:25 --> QUOTE (dragon__lance @ 27 October 2005, 15:25) | is the battle system going to be like the original Ultima games? |
Have you played a classic Ultima before? By "classic", I mean Ultima 1 to 6. Combat will be exactly like Ultima V for the PC -- which happens to be very similar to Ultima IV and Ultima III. It is "round robin" turn based combat engine. When it is your turn, you can do one thing such as move, attack, or cast a spell. However, I think when your strength, dexterity, and intelligence get high enough, you get to do 2 things per turn... Cool! B) Same for the monsters... they can move, attack, or cast spells. Some monsters have special abilities like: splitting into 2 monsters when hit, moving through walls, teleportation, camoflouge, resistance to magic, etc. I never played anything after Ultima V. I gave up computers at that point in my life. This post has been edited by Ranman on 27 Oct, 2005, 16:27 THE POST
