THE POST 13449278 QuoteBegin-DJ Omnimaga+1 Oct, 2007, 23:38 --> QUOTE (DJ Omnimaga @ 1 Oct, 2007, 23:38) | wow, how much space did each floppies had? |
C64 floppy drives could read a single side of a floppy disk... which could hold about 165Kb. Technically, you could use both sides of a double sided disk but you would have to take the disk out, turn it upside down, and re-insert it into the drive. :paf: Wow... has technology changed! PC floppy drives could read both sides of a floppy disk... holding 320Kb I believe. This post has been edited by Ranman on 1 Oct, 2007, 23:50

THE POST 13449259 QuoteBegin-DJ Omnimaga+1 Oct, 2007, 23:02 --> QUOTE (DJ Omnimaga @ 1 Oct, 2007, 23:02) | true, else I'm sure the entire game would weight around 1 MB |
Yep... Pretty close! The original required 8 Commodore 5.25" floppy disks (or 4 PC 5.25" floppy disks) totaling around 1.25Mb of data -- which was HUGE for those days! o.o This post has been edited by Ranman on 1 Oct, 2007, 23:33

THE POST 13449064 QuoteBegin-art_of_camelot+1 Oct, 2007, 19:30 --> QUOTE (art_of_camelot @ 1 Oct, 2007, 19:30) | Geeze, this game's gonna have a Messload of stuff in it! How big do you think final size will be, any idea? |
My goal is that it will require less than 225Kb of archive space (currently 205Kb). Not too bad for such a large game!
The game will require about 150Kb RAM in order to play the game.

THE POST 13447142 "Searching" for and "getting" all items is now working! There is a combined total of more than 400 items spread throughout the various maps of Ultima V. Good luck finding them all! Edit - Of course it is not necessary to have every item... It just makes some things easier. This post has been edited by Ranman on 30 Sep, 2007, 20:03

THE POST 13446578 QuoteBegin-Liazon+30 Sep, 2007, 10:04 --> QUOTE (Liazon @ 30 Sep, 2007, 10:04) | o.o that's a lot.... does that mean there are 768 enemies in other areas? |
Dungeon room and town enemies are set to a specific number. On the other hand, world enemies and dungeon enemies are generated randomly (don't confuse dungeon enemies with dungeon room enemies -- they are different) .
