Wow!! O_O Congratulations Kevin!! Over 40000 downloads is amazing -- especially for a single program. :king: QuoteBegin-Delnar_Ersike+19 Sep, 2007, 22:32--> QUOTE (Delnar_Ersike @ 19 Sep, 2007, 22:32) | Heck with it, congratulations to all those programmers out there who have overcome their laziness to release at least one game of mediocre to high quality! |
And to make a complete game... I know first hand how hard it is to create a complete game (RPG).

Actually... Ultima V was released in 1993 for the NES under the title, "Ultima: Warriors of Destiny". However... it did not have the entire story line.

--> QUOTE (Liazon @ 19 Sep, 2007, 21:01) | geez those are pretty insane animated tiles! |
Thanks! Ultima V has a few different types of tile animations:
- Cycle thru 4 tiles (example: NPCs) - Cycle thru 2 tiles (example: clock) - Cycle and overlay fire on certain tiles (example: torch) - Rotate tiles downward (example: water & lava) - Rising tiles (example: moongate)

THE POST 13428082 Here is another screenshot of the world map, dungeon map, and a dungeon room. Keep a lookout for the following things: - When entering a dungeon, it is completely dark - Igniting a torch for light B) - Climbing down pit traps - Using a gem to get a bird's eye view of the surroundings B) - Entering and exiting a dungeon room - Manual panning (camera movement) in dungeon room - Using the magic spell "Wis An Ylem" for temporary X-Ray vision B) This post has been edited by Ranman on 19 Sep, 2007, 22:58

THE POST 13426163 QuoteBegin-DJ Omnimaga+19 Sep, 2007, 1:10 --> QUOTE (DJ Omnimaga @ 19 Sep, 2007, 1:10) | Wow, just awesome! Do you cycle using a teleporter or was it just a special code to show all the rooms? This is getting more and more promising as it progresses Keep up the good work! |
Thanks!
It is piece of temporary debug code that allows me to cycle through all of the rooms.

THE POST 13425959 Here is a animated screenshot that cycles through each dungeon room. Each room is complete with monsters, treasure, and other items. Dungeon room map sizes are 11x11 tiles; however, only 9x9 tiles are viewable on the TI-89. Remember, automatic and manual camera panning is available on the TI-89. The full map size is viewable on the TI-92+ and V200. Warning: screenshot is 900Kb.

We are talking about the man that practically invented RPGs -- Richard Garriott (aka Lord British). -.- You should bow down and beg for forgiveness.

for me if i didn't it would allow me archiving a file but not unarchive it o.o |
You probably did not have enough contiguous RAM to hold the files.

Well... I think it is Firefox (I am using v2.0.0.6).
I just tried Opera 9.22, and everything works fine. I also tried IE 6 with no problems either.
Oh well.
