THE POST 13302509 QuoteBegin-DJ Omnimaga+18 Jul, 2007, 10:57 --> QUOTE (DJ Omnimaga @ 18 Jul, 2007, 10:57) | how is it progressing? |
Slowly but surely... I am finally working on combat again. The enemy database is complete. I am working on the movement controls for every individual on the combat field -- which is a max of 24. o.o

I like some Christian rock... like Casting Crowns. I like a lot of what Acapella (the group) does too. As their name implies... there are no instruments in their music except that of the human voice. It is amazing at what the human voice is capable of. But my favorite Christian music is probably some good ol' gospel music from the Oak Ridge Boys -- yeah I listen to the Oaks, they are probably one of my most favorite groups of all time. :oops: They are more well known for their country music though.

I really like the 'door' sprites. Very cool!

Very nice looking sprites! One note on optimization... Unless you are going to physically use more than 16 horizontal pixels, then I would stick with 16 bit wide sprites -- such as 16x32 sprites. Then, the sprites will require half the memory and they are twice as fast to draw.

THE POST 13193319 Yep... I am finally working on it again. My little baby boy (now 7 months old) is occupying a lot of my time -- he still wakes up about 2 times during night. I guess you could say I needed a break. But... UV development is now back in full swing.

QuoteBegin-trevmeister66+30 Jan, 2007, 15:27--> QUOTE (trevmeister66 @ 30 Jan, 2007, 15:27) | wait are you making this game in ASM or basic? |
It is not my game... Those sprites are from Athlor. I haven't seen him around in a long, long time. Regardless... you can always modify the sprites to how you want them -- i.e. convert them to black& white. Sometimes the hardest thing is just getting started.

THE POST 12417739 QuoteBegin-xlibman+26 Jan, 2007, 7:55 --> QUOTE (xlibman @ 26 Jan, 2007, 7:55) | btw i noticed you removed the release season/year, I was wondering if this could be the occasion to set the date to the same than Day 5? (jan 1st 2008) |
Nah... Things are just a little too unpredictable at the moment. I would rather be done sooner rather than later.

THE POST 12412210 Sorry guys... I have been a little out of touch as of late. Thanks for your continued support for this game. I am planning on creating a website that will have some things that you mentioned. I will have links to a lot of spoilers if people need them. Most people that played Ultima V needed some type of help to get through it Including myself! o.o I have been putting the finishing touches on the monster database -- I am amazed at how much detail Lord British put in this game! It is almost frustrating! Anyway... UV is progressing, but it is a little slow right now. My little baby boy (now 3 months old) still demands most of my spare time.

Try it again without the ".exe" extension.

All of your ideas can be achieved. However, the game would be too slow to be any fun. Here is a great tutorial for raycasting engines -- it includes variable height walls, climbing, ceilings and floors, etc: http://www.permadi.com/tutorial/raycast/

Same here... Just resize the window and everything should be back to normal.
