My school, or probably just the company that gives them internet, blocked militantplatypus. Not just “blocked: reason: gaming,” but “blocked: reason: .militantplatypus.” Now I have nothing to do during computer science class
Oh yeah, and I support Google's position

I’ve never played on a server before, so how do I join? I went on the server, but I don’t know how to sign in, or what territory I am allowed to mine.

I agree, but I just didn’t want five different types of endcards. But first we need to get a few videos uploaded and then we can upload an endcard template here.

We need an admin to come over here and tell us that is can be called official
Also, I think the channel administrators should approve/reject the videos, as well as add the intro, and an endcard, and then upload them to YouTube. Unless, everybody downloaded the intro and used an endcard, then the admins would have a much easier job

Awesome! This is more fun than the original game when you use the mouse, but the mouse doesn’t work well on the handheld. Normally the touchpad is slow in responding, but with Lua, and especially a timer and graphics, it is very unresponsive. But it’s still very fun even with the d-pad and the keyboard. One thing I notice is that in the generation of the platforms, it seems that every now and then there is a section with no platforms and is too large to jump over, but good work anyway! \\Next, add an accelerometer

Tangrs has 101 posts, so until recently he wouldn’t have been able to pass the 100 post requirement, but I think he should be allowed to post videos because he has done a lot. I have more posts than him, and thus would be able to pass the 100 post requirement, but I haven’t done very much on this forum, and that doesn’t seem right that I would get to upload and not he.
Some very new members might have good videos, but they wouldn’t be able to get them on the channel. Of course, in Introduce Yourself!, most new members just say that they would like to program this or build this or work on this, but if the channel got relatively popular, some new ones might say that they would like to make videos. While spammers would say this, others might mean it.
Ideally, it would be nice if every good calculator video could get on this channel.
I have no idea how difficult this is to program on a server, but what if we had a password for the server. Then Ruler501 and admins added members that PM them based on their standing and such, so that way you don’t get spammers, and good members with few posts can get their videos up. There would be two options for allowing members that we are unsure of. If they are not accepted, they could PM them again with a link to their channel with one of their good videos, then allow them. If they upload a troll video, you know who they are and report them to administrators. Or, allow most members with a small minimum, like 40 posts or something, maybe less, maybe more. If they upload a troll video, you know who they are and report them to administrators.
Of course, that idea is only if they can get a password system.

;aybe the passwd could be given to like all omni admins
I also think that we should post project progress announcements on the channel so that people would be more interested to find out more about our website and what we have to offer. Also with the password issue, I think you should give the password only to the people that have shows on the channel so only they could upload them. If you trust them enough to do a quality show I think you should trust them enough to upload it with no problems to the channel. Maybe select 1-3 people who would be in charge of stuff like comment responses, subscribes and likes etc... Just my two cents.
Ruler501 and Stevon8ter have made a server so that anyone can upload videos. They just need to set it up for admins and announce it. That way anybody can upload videos I agree with the playllists idea. We should have a playlist for each series and then maybe some miscellaneous videos to make it look like we aren't just playlists. I also like DJ's idea of having a tab for the recent additions to the channel
Well, they are going to be uploaded, not just playlists from other channels. I found a wonderful systems for uploading videos to playlists, with easy access and approving/rejecting for admins, but without uploading them they can be deleted, and the user must keep them on their channel for it to show up. I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but we could have a channel called "First Looks" or something where devs can talk about their in-progress projects.
Another idea is to do like a weekly video discussing new news, game progress, etc.
I think the channel should be open to most videos of adequate quality. I hope it does really well, but it might not get too many videos. If it does well, or even if it doesn’t, we could always decide what the quality and subject could be. Actually, what videos are accepted and which are rejected would be totally up to the admins. Although, would it be better to have the omnimaga admins be the main channel admins, or have whoever is the most interested in the channel to be the admins. Some of the admins probably wouldn’t want to check for new videos every day, but other non admins seem very interested in the channel, such as Spyro543 and Leafy. I’m interested, but of course I’m new and thus you probably shouldn’t trust me Also, if we ever get a dozen videos on it, and we make it the official omnimaga channel, I think it might be good to post a link to the channel on the home page, and maybe a description, or possibly put it in the affiliates tab, so that everyone going to the site would see it and check it out. Also, usual members might be reminded of its existence, so that it doesn’t die out. Another thing, I don’t know how many of you like making videos, but do you think someday a video making contest could possibly be made? (as in interesting random videos, like _Nicco_'s stop motion or some of my random videos)

Earlier this Fall, some people were mentioning that most people had less school work starting in November
I have three German essays, 5 nights of calculus homework, some Physics homework, a big Government project, and two in-class essays next week

Just make a playlist for it. I hope omnimaga tv survives and get videos, even if not very many. I would love to make some tutorial for programming the nspire and getting ndless programs on it, but I don’t have a microphone. A channel that developers talk about their projects probably would not have any videos on it and would detract from the videos on omnimaga tv. Though I like the name.
