The one I normally use is $500 (I got it $120 used) and my amp is normally $600 (got it on sale for $200). I also use two of my dads speakers when needed, which give an extra 1000 Watts of sound.
Yeah, $600 isn't a lot for a bass, but it's more then I can currently spend. 214

DJ Omnimaga, they do a lot of really fast stuff. I'm not a big fan though...
art_of_camelot, that's a completely false definition of prog. 215

For a few weeks now I've been a little depressed about something. No matter how much I practiced, or how many hours I spent studying, I couldn't get the sound out of my bass that I wanted. And it isn't me, the bass just isn't built for what I want to do. It doesn't have quite the tone or range I need.
Today, I went to the local music shop. I saw a six string bass, and picked it up. At first I just played some slap grooves, but I quickly found myself tapping. A few minutes later I hooked up an octave pedal. Soon, I realized that I had found the sound I'd been looking for all these years. After 3 or 4 hours of sitting in the store I realized something, the bass was $600 and I just don't have that kind of money. However, I know of a decent one I saw online for $170 (my friend had bought the same one) and I think it'll (for now at least) do. I think I've finally found it, the sound I've been searching for. I'm excited as hell and can't wait to spend days tapping my six string ![]() ![]() 216

Not much into the standard classic rock stuff anymore. Anything rock I listen to from that era can be classified as prog really.

If you guys do not stop spamming this topic, I will lock it. I don't want to do that, because I put a lot of thought into that list.
Music is music whether you like it or not. DJ Omnimaga puts a lot of effort into his techno music, and he deserves your respect. Unless you have something productive to say, shut up. 218

Classical is good, but I hate when snobs say it's the only real genre of music.

Apparently some pornographic material made it's one onto an official TI CD.
Well, there's some new news. 220

Umm... DigiTan hinted there might be a small demon on feb 14 but said there was nothing was carved in stone. Sonic is always being worked on yet nothing seems to get done. I might be wrong though (and I hope I am).

Here is a list of 5 albums that I love, and think others will love too:
Animals by Pink Floyd Animals, to put it simply, is a piece of art. The lyrics talk about three different kinds of people (dogs, sheep and pigs). The music is, for the most part, darker then most of the other stuff by Pink Floyd. Animals contains some of David Gilmour's best solos and although this album contributed to the breaking up of Pink Floyd and created a lot of tension in the band, it is a great one to listen to. Everything Goes Numb by Streetlight Manifesto The lone ska album on this list, Everything Goes Numb is genius. Every song is well put together and the horn lines are incredible. The lyrics, while they may be spouted out at impossible speeds, are catchy and well thought out. Tio Bitar by Dungen A Swedish psychedelic masterpiece, while many (or rather, most) people consider it's predecessor Ta Det Lugnt a superior album, Tio Bitar is one of several masterpieces of an incredible musician. While it starts out in a borderline-annoying police siren emulating guitar screech, the album goes on to play incredibly catchy melodies and great music. Pretty much the best 'chill out' album I've ever heard. UK by UK The keyboards in this album are breathtaking, the solos are amazing and the music is just plain incredible. This is a progressive masterpiece, and though it isn't as famous as a lot of other progressive albums of this time it is a simply breathtaking album. 'Til The Medicine Takes by Widespread Panic The jam band Widespread Panic has grown a large reputation as a great jam band. This album proves, however, that they are more then just a live band. The first 4 tracks are by far the best, however that does not mean that the rest of it isn't good. Hope you find something that fits your taste in this list ![]() ![]() 223

I plan on posting all of the lyrics in a bundle, they won't make sense except when viewed together (which is part of the beauty of the project)
