TI-Nspire / Re: kArmTI - TI-Nspire emulator with skin
« on: February 03, 2014, 08:03:24 pm »
Hi and welcome to Omnimaga,
Have you tried to click the (power) 'on' button? The emulator (also) enters a power-save state after some time of inactivity. To exit that state one needs to power it back again. That might be it?
Cheers,

I find this interesting both as a good Lua exercise and as a good chemistry helper. BTW, i've tested it on the OS 3.1 and it works just fine.
I wonder why people are not responding?

Also, welcome to Omnimaga, I hope you'll enjoy your stay. :)

Other Calculators / Re: TI CAS question: System of linear ODE solving?
« on: December 31, 2013, 01:34:04 pm »
I am trying to figure out if any of the TI CAS calcs (nspire, 89 etc) have the ability to solve *system* of 1st order linear ODEs natively.
I think so. These two papers should give you a head start. Happy reading and happy new year! ;)

If you can write an SPI routine for the nspire you could interface with my soundchip. I recently worked on that project. SPI is quite straightforward. You shift out bytes least significant bit first on the clocks falling edge. You only need two signal lines.
That 'sounds' interesting. A quick google search on 'SPI interface c-code' does bring up some stuff that can help, eg: http://www.maximintegrated.com/app-notes/index.mvp/id/4184.
Keoni29, don't you have a Nspire calc yet? ;)

Miscellaneous / Re: What if I had known in 2001 that this would happen?

I know this subject is a bit touchy, but it's a bit sad to hear that after all your good work, your efforts are not being appreciated well enough.
IMO you are (and have been) without a doubt the real disk jockey (DJ) of the Omnimaga community. Maybe you're just expecting a bit too much from some members...
My humble advice: take a break for a while, enjoy a nice Christmas season with your close friends and comeback with a fresh and happier mind sometime later.
I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2014! :)

:( pretty soon I'll be selling my kidney to pay for Omni.
I think it costs something like $25000 to register a TLD.
Wow, let's hope Eeems's kidney is worth more than that by then! :P

maybe you want to donate one too? :P

Omnimaga is going to become the #1 site for calc programmers with only one kidney.
Or with an assorted selection of kidneys, it depends on the # of available donators. :P

..., the emulator becomes sentient... O.O
Wat ya mean, crashes? Come on, no euphemisms please! :P

Well, i've got this one (i do not use it much, but my daughter has that calculator):

It still can be downloaded from here : http://oud.digischool.nl/wi/rekenmachines/CASIO-9860/fx-9860.html#7
Yeah the page in in dutch but has a lot of interesting stuff for Casio enthusiasts. See if it still suits you. ;)

I will surely start announcing the prizes le 26th of december. ...
Merci! :)

@DJ_O: Thanks, that helps to understand a bit more his rather good performance. Actually, I was also very mistaken in thinking he lived on this side of the Atlantic. Oh well, we're all bound to make a lot of misjudgements on this half-blind 'net-business'.

... Let me know what you think! :)
Well, it just looks very nice!
(But, but, but..., i can also see a very proud father with a very young baby (some months old?) on his lap. Is that you? If so, congrats in advance. :))
