... -Have enough time and motivation -Has interest in the platform -Has the knowledge to hack it. ExtendeD had 9 years of ASM experience when he got involved into Ndless. ...
Well, IMHO it mostly depends on your luck. One of these days a prestigious hacker knocks at the Omninaga's door offering his/her services for free. Until then, keep your hopes as high as possible. Yeah, on this matter I agree with Jim why should we be so negative? After all there are great (TI-Nspire) contributions on this site and some and still rather recent! Come on DJ_O cheer up a bit, brighter days are coming!

This update pretty much keeps all the connectivity problems that the predecessor had and is actually even buggier on that point than the older update ever was: -The connectivity kit still has problems detecting the calculator, requiring you to unplug/plug it back and restart the software multiple times until it's finally detected -Saving programs in the connectivity kit no longer works (nothing happens) -The emulator can no longer successfully send any program to the calculator at all, which used to at lease work in some rare occasions -The connectivity software still freezes from time to time when unplugging the calculator or closing the emulator -The connectivity software cannot detect both the emulator and the calculator simultaneously. If it manages to find your calculator, then the emulator will not appear. -The Tunnel game from Omnimaga still freezes on a real calculator, a sign that some files are still corrupted when sent to the calculator -The Cave game that uses DIMGROB and BLIT still reboots the calculator and those commands still haven't been fixed -The matrix bug, still present on the HP Prime as well, hasn't been fixed. -Same for the sequences bugs (http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13482&p=153154#p153154)
This should be totally unacceptable as an update, to say the very least. What can we say other than it's just regrettable Also, what to expect from any future (rushed) releases?

Strangely, the HP-39gII firmware is not in http://ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/calculators/39gII .
I guess there's a typo in the url. It should be ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/calculators/39gII/ without the leading 'http://' !! Here you can find this: Is that what you are looking for? Edit: I guess i misread it. You were looking for the firmware. Sorry! Now it's done, oh well. Anyway, its strange that the ftp-url gets prefixed with "http://"? Why is that?

YES! IT'S WORKING! Okay, now I have to polish up a few patterns, and release a quick preview on YouTube. Guys and gals, this is going to be great (dances). ...
That's so cool! Now imagine the sound track IS 'de facto' included. Wouldn't that be just amazing? (Nice soundtrack merge, btw). Anyway, we keep waiting here for the next release. Keep it up!

Yes, sorry, I have been super busy over the past couple of weeks. ...
I'm glad you were busy rather than lazy (it would have been a looong time). Nice story that one about your teacher. Well, you may invite her/him to join Omnimaga. There's plenty of fun around this place. Also, now one should consider Keoni29's nice offer.

... I didn't add it but was thinking of making it so you could exit the whole program and it would persist the game to a file and you could resume your game when you reopen the program. This way if you were in class and needed to do some calculations you could and then resume.
How do you mean? Pretend that you are listening to the lecturer while you're actually playing? Beware i know those dirty tricks. Now i'll be extra warned. Now more seriously, i really like your contributions. If you don't my asking, what's the next project you're about to start? Is it also nspire related or is it secret stuff?

I wanted to be REALLY lazy today () so I think the update will be postponed until Thursday. I am still open to community suggestions! If you think a feature should be added, I'll see what I can do. But for now, see you 'til next post!
Hey RedHat, we are still waiting... How is your lazy mood going? Too busy?

Best comic sketch ever: ...
Very good and very funny indeed. That was before i was born and i'm pretty old, mind you. That was a cool song, thanks for sharing Yeong
Yeah, I especially like the lyrics ("Lieder ohne Worte"), tho.

(Basically, the error says "Error at file writing level"
Cough, cough, my French is very lousy, but shouldn't it be "Error at file 'reading' level"? I guess HP is going through a bad phase now with the (too) early Prime release. They still have some very nice calc products, though. I hope they'll fix the Prime issues asap with a new firmware release 'very' soon.

Wolfram Alpha got into a partnership with Raspberry Pi, and Mathematica is now availalbe for free on it! Any thoughts?
I would be very generous of them (yeah, they've already earned a lot money with Mathematica!) if they would release a free version for Android, as well. But that means a lot of money going down the drain, i'm afraid. 'Raspberry Pi' is a nice platform but not as portable as a phone.

This looks like a real good job! Anxiously awaiting a simple 3D game. BTW, i don't mind if we start with one of the boring ones 3D Tetris, 3D Snake, etc. How compatible is nGL with openGL? How difficult would it be to port simple openGL demos to npsire?

Yeah, let's hope it's an isolated case, but i don't think so, unfortunately for many!

HP Prime - This is ridiculous Message #1 Posted by Michael de Estrada on 25 Nov 2013, 2:25 p.m. For the third time I've had to re-format the flash drive on the Prime to recover the OS. This time the settings screens locked up and I couldn't make any changes. When I did the restore from my pc with the connectivity kit, I got the old Apps key reboot routine, so I had to re-format again. Next I transferred some programs from my Emulator to the Prime, but the Apps transfer caused memory to explode, so I'll have to type them all back in on the Prime, which I'm not about to do. But it gets better, since now programs that used to work no longer do, despite all settings being the same. CAS solve won't work in a program despite working fine previously, so basically the program is now worthless. In short, this calculator is a nightmare, and possibly the worst product ever to wear the hp logo. I may continue working with the Emulator, but the physical Prime is going into permanent storage. Do you need a good laugh? Look it up! http://www.hpmuseum.org/cgi-sys/cgiwrap/hpmuseum/forum.cgi?read=256942#256942
