Math and Science / Re: Some math problem« on: November 22, 2013, 09:00:52 am »
Nice one Chockosta! Here a little drawing showing your solution:
1. Assume B is the center of the drawn circle (ABCD is a square!). 2. BP and BA are both radii of the circle (have equal lengths) => ABP triangle is isosceles! 3. Meaning, angles BPA=PAB=70º => ABP = 180 - 140 = 40º! 378
Other / Re: Wanting to get a desktop« on: November 19, 2013, 12:46:55 pm »
Nice to see so many gracious contributions. Omnimaga is definitely a nice place.
Shall i add something too? Here it goes. Before making any more suggestions, it would be nice if you could tell us: 1. How much cash (€€) are you willing to pay for it? 2. What's exactly the main purpose of the desktop? Gaming, programming(?), server, internet browsing, etc ? I guess (yeah, i like guessing ) you should bet on a gaming engine. Sooner rather than later you'll regret it having decided otherwise, imho. I'd say that around 800€ you already can find a top notch gaming machine (no monitors included), if you are able to assemble the various parts (not a big deal for a smart guy like you). Then, do not be lazy and do surf a bit, eg: http://bucsaemanuel.hubpages.com/hub/Best-Gaming-PC-Computers Happy Christmas, 379
HP Calculators / Re: Let's hack the HP Prime!« on: November 18, 2013, 02:35:21 pm »We wouldn't need to replace the bootloader if it takes standard ELFs. Just load linux with it.Yeah, maybe so?! I'm just playing on the safe side. We never know what's hidden inside a bootloader until we try to replace it. 380
HP Calculators / Re: Let's hack the HP Prime!« on: November 18, 2013, 02:30:42 pm »
Welcome quitte!
...This seems to me as a very reasonable guess, indeed. They (HP) wouldn't spend time and money reinventing the wheel (as someone already has put it). If this guess happens to be true, then we should be able to get it replaced with our own 'custom' bootloader. That would a major step towards starting the hacking process. Unfortunately(?) this requires somebody with some knowledge and above all with some spare time to dig into it. Let's hope more hackers do arrive at omnimaga! 381

HP Calculators / Re: 22 FPS 3D graphics on HP Prime! (sort-of)« on: November 17, 2013, 07:58:07 am »LOL! Not that much, but not very far either. That's quite strange, never had a problem with their printers. But just install the drivers, never install their softwares... You gain around 300 MB like this.*300 GB. 386

(sort-of)« on: November 16, 2013, 09:05:11 am »And now imagine this thing with assembly......Yeah, at first, they (HP) do look very open minded, don't they? But then we can't access the machine very power. That's a shame really, oh well. Quote from: DJ Omnimaga ... the connectivity kit still can't detect programs this large in it.Hmm, why is that? How large a program are you talking about? 389
General Calculator Help / Re: TI Nspire CX CAS hardware issues......Returned back to seller! Beware!!!!« on: November 16, 2013, 09:03:22 am »Quote from: stefos UPDATE: Got my new Nspire CX CAS from TI directly......The issue is completely resolved BUT the connector is still loose.Good to know! Thanks for keeping us abreast of these 'funky' dealers, but mind you, it happens all the time. You've spent some extra time, but you've learned how to handle this type of setback. Hope it was worth the effort. Have some fun now, finally. 390
HP Calculators / Re: Bugs and Requested Features with the HP Prime and Related Software« on: November 14, 2013, 10:06:57 am »
Solution: Do not connect the cable for god's sake! I mean, obviously the link activity is interacting with the foreground job. There should be a programmatic way to prevent it.
Nice ad, btw. |
