... Debugging them is even worse. Sometimes when going over one of the error statements in the debugger, the calculator will just crash, but not all the time.
What sort of debugger is it? What type of system state info does it provide? Any chance of screenies? BTW, I like the crash sound! ;)

Other / Re: Why are headphones so expensive now?
« on: September 25, 2013, 04:34:02 pm »
I mean, most technologies should decrease in value over the years unless they become collector items, right?
Have you tried to purchase the latest Macbook model? It's way more expensive than its predecessors, i can assure you! :P
As to the headphones, i really can't complain that much as i've lately bought myself a very cheap chinese pair for only  5€uros,Yeah! (My daughters have screwed-up all my good old headphones!).  :'(

... headphones like those sound fantastic and last for years, ...
Well, it depends. You don't have children yet do you? ;)

HP Calculators / Re: Let's hack the HP Prime!

Welcome to Omnimaga Iconmaster!
You know, it does kinda feel like a beta. The documentation isn't very good, some features feel incomplete, you know, the lot. It really feels that they rushed to ship this out. And yet they're still late...
Thank you for all your feedback this far, it will certainly be much appreciated by all future Prime users. I think, however, that most of these recent posts hardly have anything todo with the real hacking stuff. :-\

By the way, a Bug reports thread has been made here: http://ourl.ca/19642/361648;topicseen#new
Well done!

Okay, I'll try later... But it's weird because i've never had this type error before. And it's related to the Database Error!

Well, don't forget the fact that the "HP Prime" not having been released worldwide so far, does clearly have a negative impact on people's enthusiasm. Hacking does require a lot of testing with the real thing. So, i'd say as soon as it becomes available and we can play with the real toy, the hacking interest will certainly increase all of a sudden. So, it's also HP's fault :P. My 2 cents.

Hey man, I believe they owe you one and should send it  by Express mail and free. Too bad for them. :P

TI-Nspire / Re: gpSP-Nspire (GBA Emulator)
« on: September 17, 2013, 10:13:49 am »
Is this in an emulator? Because I don't think I could ever get gpsp working in the nspire emu, but I think I was using the pre-release calc84 sent me.
Well, you'll need nspire_emu version v0.70, at least, to run it. That might be the problem.x.x

Too bad, you've missed it. Next time you know about it, please announce it, i'd say with a pair weeks in advance. I have some friends to visit in the Netherlands and i wouldn't mind to meet some nice Omninaga folks over there. Yeah, i do like beer also. ;)

TI-Nspire / Re: nSpiKx - TI-Nspire emulator for Mac OS X (Cocoa)
« on: September 06, 2013, 10:17:52 am »
Well, you could also just unzip the OS file, it contains the boot2 file.
True! That's what i meant in the second part of my previous post. ;)

Yet another necropost.:P

Forida (FLA) has nicer beaches http://www.travelchannel.com/interests/beaches/articles/top-10-beaches-in-florida

HP guys are really not behaving up to promisses that meet our ethical code.  What are they waiting for to start selling out the "HP Prime"? O.O

!!! I simply took a boot2 from ti-planet AND IT WORKED, ...
I'm glad you did it! :)
I can see that you had some problems using the 'boot2.img' obtained using 'Polydumper' (can you confirm this?). BTW, sometime ago, i've posted an alternative method to extract 'boot2.img' directly from the TI-OS flash archive
http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?PHPSESSID=9qpdlk3kkdho2nc4389iqnt5n7&topic=16325.msg294293#msg294293 . To be able to help out people with similar booting problems, it would be helpful if you could also try this boot2-work-around and confirm if it also works.

Good that you've managed to start the booting process, that's already a nice start. :)
About the problem: it has todo with having (or rather, not having  :P) the 'good' boot files only. Here, i'm afraid i can't help you further, because we aren't allowed to distribute the boot files.
Check these posts: http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?PHPSESSID=ign6vrughvlr0e7n723dmbjns7&topic=13988.msg295069#msg295069 and see if they can help you.
Keep on trying...

TI-Nspire / Re: nSpiKx - TI-Nspire emulator for Mac OS X (Cocoa)

Hi again,
You need to create the folder '/Users/Antoine/Library/nSpiKx/TI_ROM' and place all TI files there (Boot1cx.img + Boot2cx.img + TICXCAS-3.1.0.392.tcc) so that the emulator can find them (that's what 'Path' means!).
The app 'nSpiKx' can be placed anywhere, though. I guess this is THE problem!
Also, you're trying to create an initialized OS-Flash file, meaning you'll be prompted to press 'I', etc. So, at this stage it's essential that you look at the console output. Enable the console window (Opt+K) and if you still have problems paste a 'screenie' here.
