TI Calculators / Re: downgrade from 4.0.3 to 3.9 or lower« on: November 15, 2016, 04:48:59 pm »But with the power of soldering irons, nothing will stand in the way! Except maybe NAND corruption, which I think my Nspire decided to acquire.LOL, have you tried a clothes iron instead? They normally throw out steam which can be good for sore throats and will possibly also iron out some weird NAND flash bug, btw. Quote Such perfect timing, it was right when I was about to do math homework'Murphy's law' rings the bell? Sense of humour normally helps you to go through these ordeals. TI Calculators / Re: downgrade from 4.0.3 to 3.9 or lower« on: November 06, 2016, 10:23:51 am »Oh, that's swell! Hopefully someone will update the code and fix it for the new screens.Well, I wish the next calc would be a gamulator, one with good-sound and internet. Some of my students do listen to music (with phones) while making programs. I really don't care that much, though, as they look happy and concentrated. 64
Music Showcase / Re: Pimath's WIP Music Topic« on: November 05, 2016, 12:49:49 pm »New music! https://soundcloud.com/pimathbrainiac/f-minor-01/s-xJKCKSome words come to mind: "May I join the conversation? I'm rather sloppy at times until I'm allowed to become part of the ensemble. Then I like just awake up and the interaction improves with clear beneficts for both sides." To me, it's still pretty foggy with regards to the images (scenes) crossing your mind. I'd say, let the music carry you away for a longer period without bothering about the musical technicalities. Yeah, it happens rather often that the interesting part is further down the road, and then it can be quite sweet. The orchestration part, imho, is a bit accessory and can always wait a bit longer (oh, and programming btw). 65

Hi Xeda,
I would be interesting to know a bit more about which 'real world application' are you targeting. Applications tend to bring about some money, you know, hehe. Not really my business right now, but IMO it would make it more appealing to the less math savvy. 69

The last but one, is it a Big Brother allusion? If so, I'd say you're pretty trapped these days wherever you go or not .

I hope you enjoy Nspiroid though. P.S. Did I mention that Omnimaga rocks!OFC Omnimaga rocks, thanks for acknowledging it ! 71

Also, nPDF's author Legimet still logs in here from time to time. He/she will the right person to answer your nPDF queries. BTW, welcome to Omnimaga. 72

Hi Michaela,
Thanks. Could you please try it with an older OS version? The OS version I normally use, before anything else, is this one: CAS CX OS 3.1.0.92. I know, is a bit older but is also lighter and faster. You should be able to download it from the TI site or TI-Planet. About the arrows problem on the touchpad, I've never experienced that myself and I have a phone with similar specs to yours. ATM, i have no clue about what that might be. Good luck. 73
Music Showcase / Re: Pimath's WIP Music Topic« on: October 15, 2016, 10:15:03 am »So here's a playlist with the completed version of the song (which will eventually be the 4th track) and an opening track (that gets a reprise in the new track)Rather than 'Fly Away' to me it feels more like a 'Deep Dive'. It depends on your mood, what is great. Anyways, at the beginning it sounds like gentle music that always creates a pleasant atmosphere and rests your soul. Keep composing, you'll get a lot of satisfaction out of it. I used to be an amateur musician myself, so... 74

The first one gives the impression that someone wishes to go back into the mother's womb, even though she already quite grown up. Prolly she's a bit scared of (real) life out here.

TI-Nspire / Re: SDL ports for Nspire« on: October 05, 2016, 10:23:22 am »...Well, i think you might be able to do it without actually needing Linux. Check this link: https://minghuasweblog.wordpress.com/2013/03/29/arm-cache-flush-on-mmapd-buffers-with-clear-cache/ Possibly after some changes to the recompiler (if you have the source, which i assume you have). OFC, it would be much simpler over a Linux kernel. However there have some been attempts to implement it in an OS agnostic way eg, using PLD/LDR). (eg: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/22701352/flush-cpu-cache-for-a-region-of-address-space) What could be a lot of work, though. Worth it, idk! |
