When you repeat the same phrase over and over again, people start believing it's true. So, please stop complaining about it, things aren't that bad after all. Big eaters, of course, will never have enough they always want more and more. What about: 'programming does require some thinking' unlike playing which is by nature more relaxing and thrilling. Give the guys a break and they will come around more often than most of you think. Things migh even improve.

well, all you need is to be a student (among perhaps thousands) at a university or a company to easily get hold of the community's mailing list and then if you've have a '$bound mindset' easily sell it for profit. So, it's not that hard for your e-mail to be easily leaked to the world. Take care with your emails.

I'll be able to record some stuff later today, or sometime this week. Any games or programs I should review?
Please, do not wait too long for answers that make 'the perfect sense'. Make your pick and submit it to the community. You'll notice, most of us will agree, for sure. Thanks.

Music, poetry, feelings, touch and women/man do have a lot in common, really. The hard part is always the explanation, because there's no such thing. You just feel it, period.

First off, thumbs up for the great idea! However, for it to start flourishing and drive more folks to Omnimaga, someone will have todo quite some quality video editing work. That requires expertise. We should also create a playlist of already existing calculator videos, so others can easily find more programmers/enthusiasts. May I help in some fashion?
Some days ago, I've made an introductory 5min video clip to nSpiKx and wouldn't mind if someone would use it a guinea-pig, maybe chopping-off some sections, adding transitions, idk.

Can you write a version for OSX 10.5.x please?
Alex, thanks for you interest. I'm so sorry. I've tried to compile nSpiKx with 10.5 sdk. But alas, quite a number of methods i use are not implemented in sdk 10.5. So, going backwards to 10.5 would imply quite a nbr of changes in the current code, which aren't easy to replace. Please try to update your system to Snow Leopard, if possible. Cheers.

Hi all, Here's a little gadget for Mac os x. Yeah, you've got it from the title. Check it out. See if it works for you. Have some fun. Cheers, SpiroH P.S. I'll get back later… Edit:Minimum required SDK: 10.6 (Snow leopard). A 5min introductory movie (.mov): nSpiKx_v1 in actionEdit (03Dec12): Minor update: compiled also for power-pc sdk>=10.6 (not tested!) + drag&drop LCD to desktop or .rtf document Edit (31Jan13): Latest version ('Mountain Lion' compatible) is here: nSpiKx_v4Edit (20May13): On the 14Mar13, i've posted a bug fix release v0.51, which you can find here: nSpiKx_v5.1. In the same post, you also find a 9min movie illustrating the usb-explorer functionality. Edit (30Jun13): added youtube links.

Welcome to Omnimaga! You'll find what you need here, for sure. See more here http://ourl.ca/17129 about a similar problem.

Thanks Lionel. I've missed that one. If that's the case, it's a real shame. I hope Goplat (still) sees this and comes back to 'work' to fix it, sometime soon. Cheers.

Hi tangrs, first off congratz for your nice and hard work. I'm having a problem when trying to run it on the emulator, though. I get the following straight jump into the debugger: Any ideas from the snapshot? Do you see any reason why it shouldn't run on the emulator? Thanks.

He's referring to Critor's port of "XFlame", which you can find here : http://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=6045
Thanks for the link! xflame from TI-Planet works fine in CX models but not on non-CX (it reboots with ndless 3.1)! Out of curiosity, i've picked up the source and recomplied it for ndless 3.1. Again, it works only in CX models and gives a black screen in non-CXs (i've added a temporary 'srand/rand' fix to prevent reboot). This is also due to direct video memory manipulation (which isn't portable). You may have a look at the source. btw, i've rebranded it from xflame to nflame to distinguish the exe's. On more to add to the nSDL collection. Good for beginners.

Well maybe TI will share the key with us... sooner or later... but I'm not too sure of that :\
That's a pretty good idea, i'd say. Maybe in the end TI will give up on their OS and just install an open-source os, like Google (well rebranded mind you), and still make a lot of money. Who knows what the future has in store for us?
