are there any cas features that os 3.6 has that os 3.2 doesn't have?
I don't think so. I think it's just colours and formats that are changed a little. Check out here for more details
http://www.omnimaga.org/news/new-ti-nspire-os-3-6-with-extra-lockdown/
don’t forget the boot programming and anti- ndless stuff
They just meant the cas features, in terms of calculating things not the programming side. Anyway you can downgrade from 3.6 to 3.2.3 with ndless and nlaunchy

I got a Ti-nspire and "Upgraded" to the latest OS accidentally . I then tried installing a previous version and it gave me the error: "The Operating system file is corrupt or invalid. Please go to education.ti.com to get a new OS file." I am wanting to install ndless to play games. I am willing to do a little coding if that will fix it.
Just go here http://www.omnimaga.org/news/ndless-3-6-becomes-reality!/

yes!!!!!!!!!! this is what i have been waiting for!!!!!!!
but i have one question: should we use 3.1 if we still have it instead of 3.6?
I'm using ndless 3.6 on my cx cas and I've got to say it's still pretty smooth. I do however have a switcher pack between 3.2 and 3.6 for easier calculations. You can download that here. http://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=35310

You can never tell which model you're getting in terms of J and L models. They must still be selling out of J models and then getting the L model's in. The person who has the L model that I referred to must've gotten it new in America (most likely) and not from Europe.

Hi Daniel 12997, Welcome to Omnimaga. Unfortunately ndless is not currently compatible with os 3.6, and there is no simple way to downgrade. Unless you have an a-I version cx cas or an older model, then their is no way to downgrade. If you do, then look at this thread to downgrade. http://ourl.ca/20292Otherwise, a new ndless is in development. Take a look here for more info http://ndlessly.wordpress.com

Hi njaddison, Can I just confirm that your boot2 is 3.2.4. Just go to settings about to see your boot2. If it is, then use this guide http://ourl.ca/20292/370557 to do the rs232. I would suggest using PuTTY to do the flashing. Here is the link for it http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/I was unsuccessful with the rs232 on my cx cas, but just ensure that those wires stick and it should work.

I think this thread is pointless, as the new version will be ready when it is ready. It is already clear that everyone wants a new version of Ndless, and making a poll about it is not going to make the update arrive any sooner.
I've got to agree with fb39ca4 here, even though you may want to make a poll, we just have to wait until ndless comes out and not get too anxious about it.

I can't seem to get the wires wedged into the connector - anybody got a good solution for this?
EDIT: Now my entire adaptor is gone - luckily the calculator's unharmed.
I'll just stick with Lua

What is preventing you from removing them ? [/quote]
I try tugging at the black things and nothing happens at all. What should I do?
Here's a quick photo I took of the things
EDIT: Problem looks like it's going to be fixed, just needed a pair of pliers

Another question, will my windows xp recognise the calculator on hyperterminal without the ti nspire student software installed?
I've already got the software installed on my mac and I don't require it on the windows.
