I've been thinking about getting a Commodore 64c - I've always been interested in old electronics and games. So what do you think? It's all BASIC - I'm learning BASIC, and this would be awesome. Oh looky: A C64c for $55? It would be very cool.

Ok so I got a Commodore emulator called VICE - and I found out I need to get roms for it to work. So I did. Here's the problem - I'm dragging the necessary c64 ROMS to the c64 folder in the VICE lib folder, just like the read me said - when I was hit with an error: There was an error moving the file into /usr/lib/vice/C64. Error moving file: Permission denied WHAT? How could permission be denied? What should I do now?

I wanted to ask this after I saw the C64 emulator idea thread.
Would an Atari 2600 emulator be possible? Maybe a higher system?

It's so basic and boring. Seems like I could make it do something better. Is there any way? I'm fine with replacing stuff inside of it, to an extent. I'm sorry if this is in the wrong thread. Please move it if it is.

I want to try the Screen Capture function on the FA-124 software... but it's grayed out when the program recognizes the calc. Ok a screenshot from the program... The calculator is plugged in the computer and is on the receive mode, but FA-124 doesn't know that. The two menu options are selectable. This is weird. Shouldn't they be grayed out because there is no calc connected...? And the menu items are grayed out when FA-124 recognizes the calc: What is going on??

I called it Project DreamPad. It's just an idea, a concept.
I was inspired by the TOcalc project. After I've seen that project, I wanted to make a pocket PC-type thing. I decided on a device for programming -- a device that had a small full QWERTY keyboard on it that would have interpreters and IDEs for main languages (C++, ASM, Basic, Python, etc. Maybe even HTML?) so the programmers could just put the program on their DreamPad and write programs on the go!
Still debating on the shape, should it be a tall rectangle (TI-84+ shape) or shaped like a TI-92? Or all touchscreen?

I is so excited dat I has started programming in mah new Casio FX-9860G Slim!!! It's called linedraw. It's very simple. There is a line and one of the lines is at the center of the screen (0,0) and you use the arrow keys to move the other end around. You can draw with this. It's simple and I'm proud of my work . I'll upload a screenshot and the file when I get home from school . I'm also planning a simple drawign program based off of this.

My Casio fx-9860G Slim just came yesterday!!! I can't find download links for these Geometry and Physium app-ins. All I can find are instructions on how to install them on the SD card version of the 9860. Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

I've made some userbars, they are both in my signature: That Bubble Tanks one, the image in it is part of my custom awesome tank that is practically unbeatable. Just wondering if anyone here has made any userbars?

Hi, I'm Spyro543. I joined here because I'm thinking about getting a TI-84 Plus, and trying out the programming, but I don't have one yet. :'( I've mostly been in the Other Calc-Related Projects And Ideas forum, and those ideas, screenshots, and programs are simply AMAZING. I really like Darl181's projects. When I get a TI-84+ I'll post more. But for now I'll just have to see what's going on here.
