I was just reading about this computer on Wikipedia a few days ago. It looks really nice! I'm thinking of getting a CC-40 myself.

Other / Modern equivalent of Casiopeia A-20E?
« on: April 26, 2013, 09:29:04 am »
I just watched a review of the Cassiopeia a-20E pocket computer, and I thought it was a really nice device, but it's really really outdated. What are some good, inexpensive, modern counterparts of the A-20E? (Tiny computers with physical keyboards that run Windows) (a netbook, perhaps?)

News / Re: DJ Omnimaga reaches 50k posts; everything explodes
« on: April 25, 2013, 07:23:32 pm »
In addition, an unusual number of blue lobsters have been seen exploding in the region of Québec City. We believe a Wi-Fi-powered device under the bed of the St. Lawrence River has been set to fire a colony of lobsters when an user reaches a postcount of 50000 on Omnimaga. We're contacting ZAP Québec, a provider of free Wi-Fi hotspots in the region, to identify the culprit.

There's something in the wifi!

I just want you all to know.... This is not dead!

I have about a third of the instruction set programmed. I'm still working on getting the CP instruction working though. I've also been showing this off in school a bit, it gets quite a bit of interest! :P

Why can't we use a PIC? A PIC micro has almost everything we'll need to make a calculator (a bigger EEPROM would be required though). A display wouldn't be too hard to do either. For a text only display (for a scientific calculator), a 4 line by 16 character display using a Hitachi 44780 are really easy to work with. For a graphical display, I have a small, 128 wide by 64 tall pixel LED display with no screen blur at all, and plus, it's really bright!

I never really tried to play Minetest, I always play Minecraft, but I'm really suprised as to how complete Minetest is.

Didn't notice that. I'm just using the included OS (which is apparently 7.0.1).

So I have to install mini vMac on my computer to move files to the mini vMac on my calculator? I'm still not too sure how to open other disk files on my calculator's vMac.

How how exactly do I move files to it? I have a .bin and .sit (i think that's what it is) of Macintosh Programmers Workshop; how do I install it onto the emulator? I have a real Mac running OSX if that helps any.

General Calculator Help / [NEVER MIND!]Need Ndless SDK to compile nSDL
« on: April 13, 2013, 09:18:39 pm »
EDIT: SOLVED!!!!! It turns out I didn't need any of this stuff. :P

I tried to get the Ndless SDK from http://www.unsads.com/projects/nsptools/downloader/download/release/5 but the site is down, and has been down for a while. I need to compile nSDL into a binary so I can run Mini vMac. If anyone could upload the SDK here, or even better, upload the nSDL binary, that would be great. Thanks  :)
