Minecraft Discussion / Spyro's Offline-Mode Hamachi Minecraft Server
« on: June 29, 2012, 04:39:07 pm »
I gave up on trying to port forward so I made a server with Hamachi. It's just a basic server, not too many plugins, just simple survival. With Timber. (It's in Offline-Mode :ninja:) The IP address is: "5.227.240.173", the network name is: "SpyroServer", and the password is: "temp". This is just a test actually to see if I could get a server up and running, and it was successful. Join if you want :)

(Type /home to teleport to the last bed you slept in)

I tried looking up DMZ, and I'm not sure how that would work. And Hamachi costs.

SO should I just keep trying random ports until I get one that works?

Me and my friend play Minecraft together whenever we meet up (I have a server running on my LAN), but we don't meet up very often. I wanted to set up a Minecraft server online so we could play together at any time. So I set my Minecraft server to port 119 and tried to forward it through my MIFI device:

It's not working though. I don't know if I'm using the right port, or if I'm typing in the wrong IP address. I'm typing in the IP address my computer uses over the LAN. What's going on here? Am I doing something wrong, or will this just not work? Or maybe I'm just not able to connect to it because my computer is the one hosting it. If anyone could test it and prove me wrong/right, please do.

Here's my attempt at a portal sprite, what do you think?

epic7, is there any way you can make the casino NOT force-feed you a beer? I almost threw up IRL from the insanity that was happening on my screen...

Also here's a cow or something. The cow gives you leather and steak when killed.

I wanna see PIGGYS!!!!!1!!!!! :P
Well, the piggy's AI is kind of the opposite of the chicken's. The piggy actually wants to come toward the player.
I'm not sure about the cows or the sheep. I think they just wander around randomly, but IDK.

I saw the contest was to make an AI, and I thought, "sure, I can do that!" until I saw it was only for graphing calculators. Is there anyway I can enter the contest with a computer program?

I once had a kid ask me if I could make him a paintball game that took place in our school. I said sure, it'll take me about a week to get a beta version to see how they like it. He asked me why it would take so long to make a beta, and then he asked if I could have it completely finished by the next day. I said there's no way I could have it finished tomorrow and that programming was hard and took time...etc. So I then asked him what he thought programming was. Here's what he thought it was: He thought you went to a website, typed in the title of the game and what kind of game it was and you clicked a button. And poof there it was.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
