Sorry about the Game Maker ad thing. I bought Game Maker 8.0, and YoYo Games said you could use the same license code on 8.1, and I did, and it didn't work...so I tried 8.0 again, which didn't work either.
But yeah before quitting I thought about adding some computer coders in the CoT team, but I don't know the plans for managers about that. I guess anyone who is willing to join the team is free to apply on their own, though. (they just gotta share what they're working on and ensure they can maintain a small minimum activity level). I often see some cool PC projects in that section. http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?board=81.0
I would really, really like this. I'm not really into calculator programming at all (only computer stuff) and I was a bit upset that only calculator programmers could become CoT and have their own sub-forums.
Something very very weird happened today with my character. I may or may not use Minecraft SP, and today I entered a different username, because my friend thought my username was hard-ish to type. Here's what happened to my character: Don't pay attention to the TMI, just the little character shown in the Inventory window. What the heck? I never changed my character, and other people I play with look exactly the same. My char.png file hasn't been modified either! What happened, and how can I change it back?
I'm using Chrome 18.0.1025.152 and on Omnimaga, when I try to load a page, it just goes completely unresponsive. Every time. (It only happens on Omnimaga, and before Netham's anti-spambot ip filter thing was installed, Omnimaga worked just fine (same version of Chrome).)
For no apparent reason, I'm working on a little Minecraft clone in GML (Game Maker). I only have digging, simple world generation, and player movement so far.
VERSION 0.2 ADDS BUILDING!!! CHECK IT OUT NOW!!!
To build, right click anywhere you want to place a block. Select the block you want to build with by using the number keys at the top of your keyboard.
Here is the startup screen: This is a randomly generated level with lots of trees: This is the pause menu: And here's me tunneling underground; and all the ores are visible:

I made a huge crater, and you can see the inventory system at the bottom of the screen:

What's this? A giant "HI"? But those don't generate randomly! It was built! Spyro's happy sea-side cabin.
Oh wow! I was just working on a game like this! I swear, as soon as I start working on a project, someone else makes a topic about them making the exact same thing.
It is not that I don't like Apple (even though I don't like Apple ) but why don't you consider buying another MP3 player than an iPod Nano ? For example, mine can read Ogg Vorbis files so I have better quality than with only mp3 support. It also supports Flash so I can have some games on it (not all work) and create custom interfaces myself. So once again, why choose an iPod Nano if there is better ?
But for the general choice, I would say, what do you need the most ? A camera or a MP3 player ? I never use any cameras for myself, so I would choose the MP3 player but maybe you use a camera more than a MP3 player, so you would better choose the camera (or the contrary).
My current camera is crap. It was probably made in 2001 or something like that, and it's huge, and the screen has a huge scratch in it, and I could go on forever. Well, I found a nice looking camera at Wal-Mart with 16 mega-pixels and decent zoom and panorama mode. Well, my current MP3 player is also crap. You can actually see the screen update. (No, the screen's not old, but when scrolling down a list or something, you can actually see a line going down the screen updating it.) So, I was also looking into getting an iPod Nano (the new kind). I need opinions, which of these two should I get (iPod Nano or camera) and why?
I've been thinking of making a game based on this idea: It would involve robots moving around on a grid which would have "instructions" in various locations. The instructions would be collected into a program, which can then be dropped onto the grid as an instruction of it's own. There might be multiple robots that can influence eachother ... I haven't decided the objective though
I've been working on a game like this...but it's for computer.
