For controlling program on calc:
Should you make a list of instructions then send it to the robot for execution?
-OR-
Should we be sending instructions in real time?
-OR-
Include both functions and let the user choose which.

GUI:
Icons and buttons
-OR-
Console-like interface

How yould you guys like an Omnmimaga open source game system? Probably running off of the BeagleBoard-xM, this would be quite the cool project. It would probably run a very stripped down version of Linux I would call Omnirun....
Right now we need a project name.

What I would have problems with is getting wires through the hinge.

Making a clamshell design lets me make a bigger screen and keyboard and have it still fit in the pocket. :)

Ok, so I found out graph paper is not the best thing to use for mockups :P.

Hold on guys, a mockup should be coming soon...

...then why can't we make some sort of robot thing! You would type instructions on calc, which could then be sent to motors! (jimbauwen, his calc, and his mighty Arduino could surely do it :D)

With Ndless, we could do this, and could we get info back from the robot?

It would probably be just a simple car setup with four motors, two on each side.
The motors have to work like this:

DirectionLeft motorsRight motors
ForwardsClockwiseCounterclockwise
ReverseCounterclockwiseClockwise
LeftCounterclockwiseCounterclockwise
RightClockwiseClockwise

Spyro - Thanks! Most people won't need it, but it could be cool to show to your friends
Most of my friends don't even know what a graphing calculator is. :P

Wow, I don't know.

and what OS is it going to run ?
Something Linux, small, and lightweight. I will have to write my own GUI and drivers.

EDIT: ninja'd and what? Can I see some links, willrandship?
