Well, lines are slow. :P Unless you use HLine but that didn't exist back then.

The issue with the 8*9 sprites is the masking of the additional pixel layer, it'd slow down my moving engine too much :/
That's why I offered to mod the Axe routine. It will make it fast enough because that will make it display an actuall 8*9 sprite instead of two 8*8's. ;)

I read somewhere in the topic that you used to have an 8*9 Reuben sprite for the map. I can hack Axe's sprite routine in two seconds if you want so that you can use it because it looked better IMO. ;)

Hmm thank you Eeems. My home IP is static so it should be permanent.

1) It shouldn't be affected because Omnicalc uses the extra RAM for the backup feature and it actually survives manual clears and crashes.

Hmm, sorry I forgot to do that. Next time I reproduce it I'll copy it. There's the key that's visible on the image though.

Edit : Again. <_<

I understood, it was just a joke. :P
It won't overwrite anything but you still have the potential of losing data so make sure everything is archived and backup on your computer often.

OK this is really starting to annoy the hell out of me. I'm often getting a 403 error when I try to post. It is apparently related to Bad Behavior. Each time I get this it asks me to delete my cookies because they are outdated but trying to post again without doing so works just fine. It's maybe a cooldown time issue. I only got this on my PC but again I post slower from my phone or tablet so if it is cooldown then there's no problem there.

I'll post a screenie next time I get it.

Does anyone else get this error ?

Also if it's cooldown is it possible to make it shorter for veteran members please ? Not claiming to be a looooong time user but I've been around for almost two years and I'm closing up on 2500 posts so I guess I'm in the trusted category. :P

Lower color modes with custom palettes would definitively be nice, though.
Yeah that's what I was talking about. Color indexing. Like on the NES but less limited.

Well I was talking about xLIBC actually (built-in Doors CSE 8). xLIB only supports 8-bit colors (using its very own palette). I could easily change the color of each monster sprite when I want, but in xLIBC BASIC doing such pixel test through the large sprite would take a minute or so.
Doesn't xLIBC support palette swapping ? That'd be a neat feature to ask tr1p about. :)

Hello, I'm new here and I need some help of authorized personal:). Ok, first, I'm afraid of overwriting something important in my TI 83's memory.
If you have a TI-83 it will be hard to use Axe on it. :P
J/k, also it won't overwrite anything.
