Please don't necropost. That said, there's probably more homebrew for the NES out there considering the massive fan community for this console.

Me too. I joined GC-Forever since I hooked it up again. Waiting for my mom to let me order a WiiKey fusion and an SD Gecko then I'll look into writing homebrew for it.
Also, how do you hook up the Cube to your TV ? I have the official SCART cable and RGB looks wonderful on my early 720p Pioneer PDP. 2226

Yes because analog stick I know. And NES had a d-pad, SNES had shoulder buttons, GC had analog triggers, Wiimote is motion based and the Wii U pad has a touch screen. If you ask me Nintendo look like they spent more time working on the controller than the hardware past the GameCube.

Bootcode is actual code. Certificate is data. Think of it like a BIOS and it's setup, but more basic and not changeable without exploits.

My favorite gamepads are the GameCube controller and the Dualshock 3 (PS3). The N64 pad looks pretty weird to me with it's trident shape and since the d-pad is barely used it must be weird to hold in the middle.
Also I map the C buttons to the right stick too. It just sounds logical. 2232
General Calculator Help / Re: Which link cable?« on: February 23, 2014, 03:22:00 pm »
1) That's the sole purpose of this cable
2) If you patch it with Unsigned then yes. If you don't then no. Oh, and Unsigned patches the certificate, not the bootcode. 2233

LOL yeah ofc you'd need that. I'm no artist but if someone makes a nice tileset I could adapt the original SMB 1 and 3 levels.

As suggested on OmnomIRC, an 8-bit or 16-bit style MLP remix of SMB would totally own.
