ASM / Re: Best on-calc ASM compiler
« on: November 12, 2013, 03:16:11 pm »
Oh lol Hayleia, didn't know that. :P
Asmdream uses the Basic editor but you have to type out instructions.
And Mimas can edit from archive since it's a standalone editor.

Also while Mimas has a better editor, Asmdream has a lot more features in the assembler (it's just an assembler actually) such as macros.

This is a good and easy to follow tutorial, and I was amazed at the speed of this thing: 55fps on 6MHz and 75fps on 15MHz!
* ben_g is deffinately going to use this in some programs.

I did notice a small mistake in the full code, though: you did
rect(,{°GVertex+2}r,2,2
instead of
Rect({°GVertex}r,{°GVertex+2}r,2,2
It is correct in the tutorial itself, but I thougth it would be best to report this.
If you read closer, this is an HL abuse, no mistake here. ;) Just that it's a bit less clear for a tutorial.

Well, you spelled it wrong, it's actually "konnichiwa" :P
* Matrefeytontias runs
You can't say that since it's not originally written in the Latin alphabet. :P There are 9001 ways to write it.

The mere fact that wincrap requires drivers to communicate with USB devices is already a limitation.

Yeah, but I meant that Hiragana and Katagana are "more" japanese than Kanji, so saying that Kanji=japanese is a bit flawed.
You have a point here. But the original game is japanese and it uses Kanji apparently, so yeah. (note that I'm not able to distinguish them as the only Japanese word I know is konichiwa :P)

Be scary of bomb threats, they're everywhere. That timing though, it's unreal.
at which school does your bro go? Because last week there was one at Guillaume-Couture, Champagnat and two at Pte-Levis.
There was one in 7 different buildings in Lévis today, including my bro's.

Holy cow, why would they do that ? O.O It's about as bad as the Toulouse incident over here several months ago. The guy was an islam fanatic (no surprise he attacked a Jew school).

Yeah, it's just annoying that they post here without even trying to read the thread. They come and ask without even trying to do research on their own. This is not how you do CS.

There is Mimas and ASMdream. The former is more recent and I recommend it more but you may want all the fancy features ASMdream has. Up to you but to begin with Mimas is easier.
You also have the option of directly typing in hex. :P
