I think it's like the graph buffer on monochrome calcs but it's in GRAM to save actual RAM and also a lot of speed. :D

On the CSE you have 16bit color so it's four hex chars per pixel. ;)

Sounds like fun ! I'll most likely enter. :D
I guess an entry could use more than one language ?

And yeah I guess acting directly on physics parameters as controls or a game is definitely one of the things that's expected. ;)

This is kinda funny to read about video card shader issues in a Minecraft thread, considering how the graphics are very PSOne-like. :P
Actually Minecraft is freaking unoprtimized. I think Notch had A LOT of fun when writing the rendering engine. :P It's also quite CPU intensive but surprisingly you can largely decrease RAM allocation if you don't use many mods.
If you don't have a NASA computer, it'll be very hard to max it. :P

It is because that image is aimed at programmers, not humans.
* Hayleia runs
Just for the recall, we are ponies, not humans. :P
* Streetwalker runs

My only problem right now, is fog of war. Unless Someone has a brilliant idea on how to make a good dynamic fog of war, I have 2 options. I can make squares on the screen and remove them when the ship is near, or I could make it so you can only see from one ship at a time. If any allies are in range they are seen, if not they become a way point. This adds a little bit of a twist to your normal RTS, This makes it so you can still see your units on radar, but you can only see from one thing at a time, until you switch units. Personally I like the second idea, because it adds uniqueness to the game. But I would like other people's input.
That sounds like fun to me ! It adds more challenge and it's also more realistic as a unit can't normally see what others see. ;) At least put a decent view range so that it's not TOO hard, I guess indirect combat units should have a much larger sight too.
Though the only strategy game I ever played is Advance Wars II and it's turn based, but I think RTS are not that much dfferent. :)

As for the black hole I kinda like the first, but in your top down view game the 2nd would be better.
Agreed. ;)

Like make code draw it in 3D, not pre drawn 2D images.

Wait, does that sh*t still exist ? O.O

Nice collection BTW. :) I'm gonna check those out when I have my 84 back, though I already love Hayleia's games. :P

The main problem now is that I have a 256MB Radeon HD 4650. <_< This card sucks. :P

iMHO the "flat" one would be better (it's always nicer when animated). But why don't you just go with a fully rendered one ?

It is so awesome my hand gave you a +1 without me controlling it.
Same. :D

Also props to GLSL shaders, that looks really awesome when you have a decent GPU. <_< I'm really impatient to get Jean-Frédérique II. :P

The only problem I encounter when making these, is that I can almost never get the tree to look natural?! Somehow the aspect of the smaller trees seems so normal, but when they get big it's always some funky shape  XD. But yeah, thanks! This is the most "Natural" one I have made! ;D
Maybe if you had RedPower the rubber trees could help you ? Or maybe a large jungle tree ?

I don't know how many I should put to have no mobs spawn there.
A lot of light is usually efficient. You can try to make it look like street lights with glowstone and fences. :D

Also 9*9 is actually 7*7 inside, and you can put quite a lot of blocks along the walls in very little space. ;) That's pretty nifty on the PC version with mods where you have a lot of machines. I have these four blocks high inside so I have room to build crazy contraptions and a torch per wall is enough to light it up. :D
My industrial center is generally my main house and expands pretty quickly.
