That was the goal of HP : teach students programming. Unlike TI who makes their calcs less and less programmer friendly.

The 50G looks pretty nice indeed ! I remember I loved my 40G when I was in troisième (2-3 years ago) and I should fix it like now.

HP calcs have something TIs don't. I personally don't like the Casio UI and my friends' Nspires showed me it's not as friendly as HPs and TI-Z80s.
The TI 68k series is also pretty good. You can find used 89s for very cheap nowadays and it's a very good CAS calc (even though I don't own one, using it in an emulator convinced me). It's interface is similar to HP.

It's pretty cool but I'm having a hard time with the controls. It's nice that they'll be configurable.

Nice, then. I hope that we get a multi party system or change characters along the game. And we should meet our good ol' friend portal gun again.

Edit : Also I wonder if both storylines are paralell or consecutive because that might impact what I said.

So yeah, I came up with this idea.
At the end of HL2 E2, Eli and Dr Kleiner mention the Borealis : Aperture science's (doesn't it remind you something ?) research ship which was found by Judith. You are about to go there with Alyx. I'll find a video.

I came by this while escaping in Portal 1 a minute ago.

Also, there are a lot of similarities : HEPs and Fusion Cores are the same thing, Aperture and Combine logos look close to each other, turrets, SFX, the final song also mentions Black Mesa.

=> One thing is clear : both stories are linked. Is HL2 E3 the bridge ?

I think that is perhaps the cleanest, most organized room I've seen posted here. On a side note, I'm working on spring cleaning right now. By working on, I mean at the moment everything is pulled out, so it looks like a catastrophe in progress.
