Just curious, which is better? Casio Prizm or fx-9860GII (or fx-9860GII SD)?

Math and Science / Re: Fast multiplication with pen and paper

You group the 100's, 10's, 1's, etc. together, and then draw the other number perpendicular. So you multiply the 10's by the 10's, the 10's by the 1's, the 1's by the 1's, and the 1's by the 10's. I'm not explaining it well, but I understand how it works.

It would be funny if at a math test, a student had about 20 TI calcs on his school desktop. ;D
I routinely have 3 graphing calcs on my desk at school.
Anyway, nice choice! Hope you like your free-ish calc

The CAS Nspires have all of the 89's math functions, AFAIK.

I prefer the Nspire as well. Its an all-around great calc, at least with Ndless.

I should get one of these and throw it at my classmates.
None of them know how to use their calculators well :P
This is my life. Actually, I should order like 1000 and dump them at their houses... lol jk. But it still looks like a great book!

I have a question for Goplat: how difficult would nspire_emu be to port, especially to Android? I might do that if the project is feasible.

What's the best calc for programming (especially on-calc)? ??? I already have a TI-84+SE, Nspire Touchpad Non-CAS, and Nspire CX CAS. I'm open to any brand of calc.

DSes are really durable, but somehow my sister's DS Lite's firmware corrupted. She hadn't even hacked it too

General Calculator Help / Casio Scientific Calc Clone
« on: January 05, 2013, 10:54:03 pm »
(Didn't find a better section to put this in) Found this in my local CVS today. They were literally right next to each other o.O The clone was like $5 cheaper than the Casio, and had literally the exact same layout. (I got a little annoyed :P) (Sorry about the blurriness, phone camera and holding 2 calcs with one hand do not mix well)
