Anyway glad you're back into programming. keep up the good work
What he said Hope to see updates soon, I think there is some xLib stuff in Omnimaga's download section you could check out to help you with xLib, there's also some good tutorials on tifreakware iirc.

Welcome to Omnimaga bwang. I don't have a shell script, but I would be happy to give you instructions on how to do this(I might make a shell script in a bit, was thinking about it before but never got around to it). What you need: TI-Boy SE(of course ) Wabbitsign(need wine): Epic LinkageA GameBoy Rom After you have all that, throw wabbitsign into your 'makeapp' directory. Open up your terminal and 'cd' to your 'makeapp' directory. Then type in what you see below: cat 1.bin >> app.bin echo -n "MyGBName" >> app.bin cat 2.bin >> app.bin cat your_rom.gb >> app.bin cat 3.bin >> app.bin wine ./wabbitsign.exe app.bin makeapp.8xk rm ./app.bin
Please keep in mind, the name you place in the 'echo' has to be exactly 8 characters long, or it will not compile and of course replace 'your_rom.gb' with the rom you wish to convert I'll whip up a script to automate this process and make life easier, until then you'll have to use this way. I hope this helps =D

Why don't you have it ignore things inside quotation marks?

ehm, no it doesnt, it signs the app but it failing!!! T-T
This way most likely won't work with TI-Boy SE v0.0.3, but while .2 is still out, you can use this way. Have your rom, 1.bin, 2.bin, 3.bin, and wabbit.exe all in the same folder. now create a file called 'app.asm' with the following in it. #import 1.bin .db "Pokemon " #import 2.bin #import Pokemon.gb #import 3.bin
after that's created, go into command line and 'cd' to the correct folder, and type 'wabbit.exe app.asm Pokemon.8xk' This might work, but I'm not having any high hopes because it seems that calc84's batch file works usually. Someone on TI-BANK forum told me that at the back of the calculator, the hardware version is supposed to be written as a letter at the end of the serial number on the calc back. The guy, Critor, says for example that his [11:35:39] <@critor> TI-84+ mai 2004: version non précisée (la première...) <-First model with no letter) [11:35:39] <@critor> TI-84+SE mars 2005: matériel version C [11:35:39] <@critor> TI-84+SE mai 2006: matériel version F [11:35:39] <@critor> TI-84+ mars 2007: matériel version G [11:35:39] <@critor> TI-84+ mars 2008: matériel version J
The order seems alphabetical. I wonder if people could post their hardware version so it could guide us to know approximately when the hardware change killing TI-Boy SE occured?
Is the model number the one on the back of the calculator? If so... My TI-84+SE: 2144 037707 S-0405D

calc84maniac, There's a rather easy way to compile with Spasm2, is there a major difference between wabbitsign and Spasm?
app.asm
#import 1.bin .db "Space " #import 2.bin #import Space.gb #import 3.bin
I used your Space.gb file that comes with TI-Boy SE to compile the app and DJ Omnimaga confirmed that the file worked(on wabbitemu anyway), so you might want to stick with Spasm2 if there isn't a big difference between wabbitsign.

Unfortunetly 'Mortal Kombat' Doesn't work, I'm using the latest patch and a TI-84+SE from 2005
EDIT: More Games that don't work are as follows: Contra Final Fantasy Adventure Final Fantasy Legends 3 Mystic Ninja - final Castlevania1(CRASHES CALC) - final
some arn't final, they may actually work. I have to try them on real calc and fool with thim a bit.
EDIT2: Some that work! StarWars Alien3 Castlevania2 Ninja Gaiden
EDIT3: THESE WERE TESTED WITH TIBoy-SE 0.0.2

As you might have seen from my recent forum activity, I am back and hopefully for quite some time now, since I finally got rid of that unbelievably slow thing that they call dial-up. Seriously, how can they charge so much for something that doesn't even fit modern standards?
Anyway...
Update!... somewhat, I've dropped some projects that I may or may not pickup later. It's time's like these I wish I had clones... but my secret laboratory is another story for another time, right now I'm in the planning stages for some sort of RPG, weather it be a port of some kind, or a original game isn't certain yet. Also, the Zelda project that I opened a poll for a while back has but put on hiatus for an undetermined amount of time.

Ok, but what I meant what was, what is the operating system of your computer(vista, xp, linux, etc...) . Also, have you had TiLP installed before you ever used TI-Connect? I've had problems with that because the 2 drivers for the calc conflict with one another.

I have TI84+SE, and use USB. Somehow, TI-Connect never detects me, and I think it's because I never had the CD that came with the calc (I got my TI84 by trading TI83+ with my friend)...
It never worked? What OS do you have, and do you know if the cable works? I've used the TI-Connect off of there website maybe there is a way to resolve this problem, I know that TI-Connect can send everything fine, if not as fast as TiLP. ...so I tried TiLP. TiLP works very well with TI84+SE, but the only problems I got was that I couldn't send anything in archived state, grouped files were ungrouped before sending files, and lastly couldn't send any pic variables(consequently, can't play many games requiring pic vars :'(
That's interesting! I have the same exact problem with TiLP under Linux(Ubuntu 9.04), I cannot send any picture variables. So this may be a bug, unfortunetly the main programmer of TiLP had stopped working on it from what I've heard. This means that there may be no bug fix, but maybe someone that's skilled in C/C++ can fix it? All we can do is hope I guess...

It's new to me, but it looks rather interesting. I might look into it later if I get a chance.
