Geekboy: I am not agreeing with your point that this is not a democracy. We built this place, and I think everybody should have a voice. Also, internal rules? You make sure like they are followed? That sounds like a dictatorship.
Final point. If things don't change here, count me out. If I can't have my old place on the web, I will build a new place of my own. Exactly. I'll be gone from here too and I won't come back. But I really hope that it doesn't happen. I'm not overly active here, but what I could notice is that this wouldn't be a place to stay at for a longer time. Except that I have to disagree with one thing, it's neat that edits are now broadcasted over IRC.

I would rather call that technique a rootkit

My idea is still much easier to implement and won't require us to update the patches for each new HP OS. As long as we don't mess with exam mode we shouldn't have to fear HP. The bad thing about a shell is that you can't see whether it's active. For ndless, you have a way to remove it certainly (filesystem format) but is there a similiar way on the HP? Also, I'd it visible that there is possibly custom code running by displaying a message like ndless does on the home screen, that way you'll likely not get in trouble. At least I hope so

Can someone install Qt for Android and try to cross-compile the code from http://github.com/Vogtinator/nspire_emu?It should be possible now to run it on other platforms. It's probably a bit too slow to be usable, but it should work. Edit: With some minimal changes it compiles and runs, but crashes somewhere in boot1. I'll debug it and upload for tests, if anybody wants to test nspire_emu on his android phone.

You can flash boot2 3.1 (I believe) using nsNandMgr, available on ti-planet.

No, your calc doesn't support nlaunch. So I need put de Boot2 V3.1 to the calculator work again?
Yes, you need to. Well, Pin 1 is Pin 1. The serial pins are on the left side if the calculator is facing downwards and the port points to you.
Look my calculator: What do you think?
thanks again! so much!
Connect GND to the longer pin on the left side and RX of your adapter to the left pin next to it.

What do you mean by "didn't connect"? After you open the serial port nothing happens?Try to connect GND and RX only. When I try to connect with the hyperterminal show me that i'm connected but don't show me nothing in the screen, like this: http://screenshots.en.sftcdn.net/en/scrn/10000/10028/hyperterminal-private-edition-htpe-1.jpg And I already tryied to connect with RX and GND, nothing happens.
Yeah, either you're using the wrong pins or your adapter is fried. After you got your calc in a usable state, do a normal installation of the 3.6 CX OS. So I can't put OS's with CAS anyway?
No, your calc doesn't support nlaunch. One more doubt, my Ti has the number 1 in the right side, it's normal or I need to invert my connections? Well, Pin 1 is Pin 1. The serial pins are on the left side if the calculator is facing downwards and the port points to you.

How? What did you do? I tryied this: http://www.omnimaga.org/general-calculator-help/installing-cas-on-ti-nspire-cx-non-cas/msg383792/#msg383792 and don't change de hole name, the extesion .tcc to .tns, just de first name.
It was rejected, I assume. Did you do anything with nsNandMgr? Try to connect only the RX and GND pins first. With 115200 Baud you should get at least some traffic from boot1. Didn't connect, neither in RX or TX! My conversor can be broke? when I connect TxD, RxD and GND don't light the yellow light, just de Blue and Red, the yellow becomes weak!
What do you mean by "didn't connect"? After you open the serial port nothing happens? Try to connect GND and RX only. No, won't work. v1.4 is for touch and clickpad only.
What I do?
After you got your calc in a usable state, do a normal installation of the 3.6 CX OS.

If you have a USB TTL adapter, try to get some serial output, it may help further diagnosis. You can try to format everything with the Maintenance menu ESC-Menu-Minus (or was it Doc-Enter-EE) or reflash boot2 as last resort.

Hello guys, I broke my Boot2 trying to downgrade the OS 3.6 to OS 3.2 CAS... How? What did you do? Q1) So, is because of this chip PL2303HX I can't connect or other thing?
Q2) I need to buy a specific conversor with FTDI chip to connect my Ti and recovering my boot2? Try to connect only the RX and GND pins first. With 115200 Baud you should get at least some traffic from boot1. Q3) Can I put the Boot2 v1.4? No, won't work. v1.4 is for touch and clickpad only.

:drooooool: Where is the drool icon when you need it.
So you are taking over this project?
Yes, in the way of "implementing support until it's usable", but not in the way of "I'll maintain it until we both are dead" There is no current "maintainer", it's just floating around the internet. Nspire-emu is like, the only thing I rely on Wine for atm.
I've still got IDA. It's a real PITA to use sometimes.

Sure but don't you think it'd be weird if I made something for you then applied a license that prohibited you from using it? License: "Every binary containing this sprite or parts of it must only be used by aeTIos." ;-) Yes, that would be weird, although legal O.o I'll probably create the sprite tonight. Don't try to make a good looking cursor, otherwise it won't fit to the rest (Could you design some other things as well, like Dialog boxes, buttons and text input fields?)

I've got a present for you Far from complete, but works. Using qt and running on linux natively.

The license still applies

The mouse behavior is good. But like Ivoah said, it's a little bit too large, and IMO it could just be a 2-color sprite instead of all this anti-aliased fancyness. Yes, I'm telling you that the cursor looks too good
Let me whip up a quick example of what I'd find a good cursor. If it's a usable license, I'll use it
