Yeah, I prefer to read the hex, not those ugly mnemonics...

Ah, okay... Erm, I still need to learn axe too... And why doesn't axe just compile it to 210200? It would save memory/speed

I'm not an Axe programmer if that is what this is aimed at. However, in BASIC, you could do something like this:
Code: [Select]
Input "CODE:",Str1
ClrHome
If Str1="GARRMEOWRAWR
Then
prgmRAWRZ
Stop
End
If Str1="GIZZLEBOPS
Then
Asm(prgmPONG
Stop
End
If Str1="SOAGUYWALKSINTO...
Then
Output(1,1,"YEAH, I HAVE NOTHING
Stop
End
Output(1,1,"INVALID CODE!

Also, do you want the hex code of an axe program? There are ways to do that pretty easily.

So are you saying you want codes to activate certain events?

... would still be freaking awesome! I am thinking of hooking up old Gameboy SP batteries to my calc or modding it to let me plug it in to a power supply, anyway. I've done it with AA battery packs back in the day :P

I's gots me an 84+SE and an 89t. I've barely made a mark on my 84's memory and my 89... I use that to play pokemon red version... so most of the memory has been used :D

Lol that would be cool. Maybe in the future such script could be implemented directly on the forums. Eeems has a script for that, though, if you look through the Misc page of the site.
Oh, that would be cool! Do you mean like if I did @Z80 210000224B8421A29DEF1045C90548656C6C6F in a post, it would return the mnemonics?! That could be really cool...

Well, the only code that was being executed in the first ones was BASIC code. The last one included the sum( command which is all that should be affected by the parser. Also, it runs through the loop and seems to crash randomly. I had it run over 10 000 times before it crashed.

@DJ Omnimaga: Yeah, I think this should be the bug report place.

Yeah, this stuff is really useful! It lets me answer assembly questions much faster... it's like a translator... Why doesn't google have a translator like this!

BatLib / Creepy-Crawlies (Bugs)
« on: January 26, 2011, 09:51:49 pm »
This topic is meant for the discussion of bugs in BatLib. Currently, I am aware of three bugs (off the top of my head):
-The fonts don't seem to work in OS menus
-GetStats is not liking archived variables (it crashes when used on them)
-It crashes randomly, even on BASIC code.

Here is a screen shot of that last one. The first crash happens after 19 iterations, the second at 2346, the third at 827, and the fourth at 799.

BatLib / Re: SpriteLib v4.00.61.Beta
« on: January 26, 2011, 02:02:57 pm »
Time for the new update... Apparently, I was half asleep every time I went to check for bugs. As a tip, before installing a new version of BatLib, uninstall the version you have! (sum(0,50,51). There were bugs, but only because I kept forgetting to uninstall the previous version...

There is a bug that I found with command 41 when you try to get the stats of an archived variable. This is a glitch that seems to randomly come and go in the version updates without my interference.

The new commands are:
60-DelVarArc-Deletes a variable from RAM or Archive
61-DrawRectvar- Draws a rectangle directly to a var (like Pic1, for example)
62-DrawToVar- Uses the drawing routines directly on a variable (like pictures)

These are all ideas from DJ Omnimaga or inspired by DJ Omnimaga. I still have yet to allow for pixel testing of archived pictures, but that is something I plan to add soon.

General Calculator Help / Re: msd8x won't work

my serial number ends with P-0409L
that is later than F. is it still worth the try?
i have also access to a F revision calculator, maybe there?
I think the 0409 part means it was made in April of 2009. Mine has 0909. I do know that mine has one extra RAM page, but that is all (to my knowledge, anyway). I have not actually tried MSD8x on this new calculator, but the only peripheral I can hook my calc up to would be my PSP (that's all I have a cord for). Also, I personally don't need that much memory yet :D I still have about 1.25 MB of memory that I haven't touched, yet (or to put it another way, I've used 1/6 of my memory, and I still have apps that I don't actually use).
