Miscellaneous / Re: My new internet speed
« on: July 20, 2013, 02:45:14 am »
Over here, 4.5 MB/s is $70 a month and I think 18 MB is $130.
O.O ZOMG that's freakin' expensive.
Yeah. The issue is that Canada population is so much lower than USA that there are fewer ISPs due to lower marketing opportunities, thus, much less competition, so ISPs can jack price up as much as they want. The same happens with cellphones and is why it took so long before the 3G version of PSVita comes out here, although now it's not as bad as a few years ago when the cheapest mobile plan was $50 a month excluding extra fees.

In USA, if a company had such prices, it would go bankrupt fast, but in Canada, as a customer we don't have much of a choice. Of course, governments could simply impose caps on internet fees (depending of the service) or other things like gas prices so that they must match their USA counterparts, but then those companies would just drop out of the Canadian market.

Hmm I never really thought about that.

I'd give you 100$ just for an additional mb.

YAY! Look at how bad my internet is! (My dad has it split into 2 networks: Ours - 36 kbs, His - The rest) I'm on the wireless internet right now (His network) so I got 1 mbps I guess...

UPDATE: Almost done with the zooming, which helps gameplay ATON. Being able to zoom in and out, allows the player to move to different locations faster. So ya:

Only thing to fix, zooming in then center not side.

By the way do you mean Yoshi's Island for the SNES? I got that game as well.

GBA, (if you were talking to me).

But I wanted pokemans and yoshi's island :(

:D, I have yoshi's island. I love that game!
My friend just recently gave me Bioshock. Played it and beat it. Really doesn't tie with the second one very well. >:/

Just avoid Pokemon Silver and Gold unless you have soldering skills and feel like replacing the save battery every 5 years or so. In NES games batteries can last decades, but these two Pokemon games use a real-time clock that causes the battery to wear out 10 times faster.

Figured this out recently. I have 2 Silvers and 1 Gold, but none of them save. D: Instead of saving then I just see how far I can get without saving, lol.

Really? :O Both my Gold and Silver (and even Pokemon Red)games still save fine. My Krystal died, but i blame the fact that it went through the washing machine. The game still works, but the save function is toast.

Yeah, the internal batteries ran dry. But every game I have had go through the wash has always come out intact. I kinda find the things indestructible.

What Does It Say?

It doesn't say anything, I can type in the box, but when you press the buttons nothing happens.
I've used clever bot before (at school), so I know what should happen, but nothing does. When you hit enter it just reloads the page. :/

The only thing I ever have lower than 60 FPS, is when shaders is on. If I turn of the Vsync or whatever (matches refresh rate to monitor) I get like ~300 FPS vanilla and ~220 with FTB.

Haha, probably. It always does this when I run FTB, or Technic. So it's probably like IC2 or something.

This isn't exactly something epic I built in minecraft, this is more of something epic I found in minecraft. Epically weird!

(Happens to me a lot actually :/)

You got it from your (rich) family? I got this ASUS core2 duo @1,8GHz laptop for free, but it has all sorts of issues including a 15 minute battery life.

HAHAHA, no. My family is not rich, in the slightest. I got it from theater class in school. Someone donated it, and the theater class just gave it to me...
Actually same here, the baterry that was in it at the time has only a 20 min charge... :/

Axe / Re: Px1-test in Axe usage help
« on: July 09, 2013, 11:38:16 pm »
First off, ~doesn't equal symbol~ can be replaced by !=, which is much easier to type. Secondly, the commands use a lowercase 'l' not the number '1'. about the code, you seem to use pxl-Test( and then Pt-On(. Pt-On( is for drawing sprites, which I doubt that you are trying to do at the moment. You should probably use Pxl-On( instead.

All of which I was just about to say.

Piguy-3.14, do you think I could see your source (up to you)? I have done a lot of this type of stuff, and could probably help...
