The new design is much cleaner. It reminds me of Mac (Macintosh) programs because of the gray bars and rounded corners.

That's because it's so distorted that you get somewhat of a "fisheye" lens effect. The glitching happens because Axe can't draw clipped lines, so whenever the lines get so long they go offscreen, they vanish. (If I understand correctly)
Can you fix that by making a line just a series of points or would that be too hard to do? Instead of having lines you would just have a bunch of points that make a straight line.

I know people can steal stuff from backpacks while you're wearing them because my friends do it to mess around with eachother somtimes but they end up giving back whatever they took after they get a kick out of the persons reaction when they find out they are missing something.

If you're building a calculator for FOSS(+HW) reasons, I'm very happy to support this project. With enough time and inspiration, you can probably build a better calc than I (OTCalc) or any others have tried. But DON'T build it for cheating. Not worth it.

I live in an area where people steal and don't think its that bad. The chances of it getting stolen while you're playing are slim. The only time I worry about my calculator getting stolen is when its in my backpack and I'm in a crowded place (I'm constantly reaching back an and feeling for it) or when I leave my backpack with one of my friends to go get lunch. I think most people would value an IPod or some other more common electronic device than a calculator.

Anything is possible with lots of time, effort and sometimes lots of money. It's probably not worth trying to get the CAS OS to run on a non CAS since I'm sure it will take a very long time and effort. If you want you can try though.

I can't believe that! Thats terrible. Who doesn't format their drive every once in a while? TI really doesn't care. Thanks for the info though. I'll check it out tomorrow since I need to sleep now. Oh and does TiLP II work on windows? I can dual boot a linux distro if I have to but I don't really want to if I don't have to. Thanks.

I really like Journey and Hall and Oates (Are Hall and Oates rock?). I also like a few songs from Sting, Queen, Linkin Park, and a lot from Green Day but I listen to anything really although I think lots of new songs are really repetitive and don't mean anything if you listen to the lyrics.

I just need some sort of reference on how to build a custom android device and I can take it from there.
Not trying to discourage you but it isn't as easy as you think. If you want android check out http://forum.xda-developers.com/. You can read those forums and you might learn a bit about the software side of android. They don't seem to like noobs very much though. Try soft modding roms for a phone or something. I'm also pretty sure that there is an android project for the Raspberry Pi. You can learn a lot from actually starting a project and finishing it. Tests really aren't about getting an advantage, they're more for showing what you know and can produce on your own. Actually, one could argue that if you possess the knowhow to create such a calculator, you really wouldn't need it for those tests.
(Also, the tests are easy)

If you want a calculator for the SAT you really don't need all of that. The math portion of the test is pretty easy and can be done with a scientific calculator if you wanted. If you want a calculator with a CAS then get the Nspire CX CAS or the TI-89 Titanium. TI dominates the calculator market and it will be hard to get teachers to accept a new calculator since they are so hooked on to their TI-84's. It would be nice to have something like this but it's hard for old teachers to accept new tech.  There are also other keyboard layouts other than QWERTY that you can use instead of just switching two letters if you want.
