Ah alright. Thanks.
Right now I started using Brass and have yet to check out spasm. I'll probably just stick with Brass for now

I'll test once I get my calculator. I'm not sure if the guy has shipped it yet.

How can we protest? What kind of stuff can we do?
EDIT: Maybe we can have a petition thing going on then once we get a lot of signatures we can send TI a letter in actual mail with all of the signatures of the people.

Maybe they should have implemented a disp buffer, like Linux uses. It stores all the console output and displays it as fast as possible, but the program continues running, ignoring whether it has actually displayed.
Ah so that's what a buffer does. I still can't believe that TI would reduce the speed but upgrade the screen. This seems to be aimed at the new student that know nothing about calculators but want the one that looks the coolest/ prettiest.

What's the difference between Spasm and Brass?
Is one better than the other or are they just two programs that work just as well?

Makes no sense to have a smaller screen but a higher price.

I do have some programming experience. I'm trying out 28 days and if I get lost there then I'll also try Hot_Dog's. I haven't learned basic so that Might be + if what DJ_O says is true.

Alright. I was told by a couple people to use the DoorsCS sdk as my assembler. Can someone help me out with that?
What do I need to run it? I noticed that inside the tasm folder there was a .py file. Does that mean that I need to install python to run this? If I do which version is recommended?

Ahhh! Why upgrade the screen and put in a slower processor? Hopefully we will be able to overclock. That would be kinda cool. A new challenge for the calculator community to overcome.

No way! I just bought one too except it was from ebay, I can't wait till mine gets here. I'm going to try to learn z80 assembly then learn the other stuff afterwords but I'm in a computer science class and I already know stuff about programming.
If you're going to be programming it check out wabbitemu. It's an emulator that lets you run your programs and other things on your computer instead of the calc.

Hey guys, I just bought a TI-84+SE from ebay and I would really like to learn z80 assembly.
I currently know of the 28 day tutorial thing but do you guys have any tips to get me started?
I think I can handle assembly since it wont be my first language and I think I'm a quick learner.
Also quick question. Isn't assembly an interpreted language, so do you need to modify the text file before sending it to the calculator? What I'm trying to say is that there is no compiler or something like that right?

Hey this is really cool. Maybe I can make one later on.

What screen will you be using? 7 inches sounds a little big for a calculator.

The Super Bowl was crazy. The game was intense. I thought that the 49ers had it in the end but Kaepernick choked. Eh there's always next season. The commercials were alright. I remember one from about 6 years ago. Taco bell Carne Asada commercial. I still think it's funny.

I really do want to help but this is way out of my league. I need to learn a whole lot more before I can even begin to start trying to help. I'll be learning C then moving to C++. It seems like that is the way to go since they are very similar and C is just good to know.
Is there anything new going on? So far is there anyone else developing for this besides you?
