Site Feedback and Questions / Re: [Youtube] tag compatibility issues« on: April 20, 2013, 05:37:25 am »I think Omni had plans to go HTTPS too, but buying (and renewing annually?) an HTTPS certificate was deemed too expensive and nobody here could even come close to afford it, so the idea was scrapped permanently (doing it for free was out of the question, because It's annoying for the user on some sites to be greeted with an invalid certificate signature warning every single session)At TI-Planet we are using a free certificate service https://www.startssl.com/?app=1 543

Indeed, we are going to fully go into https-compatible mode on our side (not only it's more secure, but with SPDY, it's also faster), so whenever we are trying to get external media, we try https, so that while in http, it won't matter, but while in https, it won't complain about loading froman insecure place neither
You probably have to edit the embed html-side of the bbcode 544

I remember that ticalc.org used to be affiliated with TI, but sadly were taken off their website because their archives contained innapropriate material (the Drug Wars game and ASCII porn)While TI-Planet doesnt host ASCII porn (or porn at all ), I think we host "worse" than Drug Wars, probably. 549

Lua / Re: loadstring - MyLib« on: April 16, 2013, 05:28:27 pm »
You can use any type you want as long as it's lua compatible (through the math.eval)
It has to be a math variable inside a normal .tns document you created as usual. 552
Lua / Re: loadstring - MyLib« on: April 16, 2013, 02:59:46 pm »
Like this
Code: [Select] myVar = math.eval("externalDocumentInMyLib\\thePublicVariableYouWant") More advanced use : https://github.com/adriweb/EEPro-for-Nspire/blob/master/EEPro.big.lua#L1519 But there, I'm actually calling a function and taking its return value 554
