Also random thought: how do slide cases work with that usb port?  Or are there any?  Looking at the page on TI's site only says stuff about a "screen cling", while the cx page mentions both that and a slide case. :/

I actually happen to own a CM sliding case TI gave me last summer (2011).
Here's a photo where you can see it (at the bottom) : http://tiplanet.org/images/tinscmc.jpg (Also, these are not my calcs :P)
I guess it covers the whole thing, not sure if sliding.

Well, just plain memory corruption :P

Happened to me while I was testing Nover at the time critor was creating it still, I got with undeletable folders / ghost items everywhere which caused me to reformat actually.

So yes, "limits" aren't there for nothing :P

The staff will indeed have to make a decision on the matter - being good citizens caring about their fellow users' rights, or keeping to side with TI in not caring about users' rights :)
I believe the issue was not related to this but rather on facilitating some way to cheat, which Netham (I think it was him?) said Omnimaga is against.

General Discussion / Re: Learning to write music
« on: August 01, 2012, 02:55:41 am »
This reminds me of my 2-year music theory courses I took (I had to stop doing so because of school, though :/) for my Computer Music degree a few years ago (compositing more than computer, though, for the 3rd year) (btw, first year was focused on using VST instruments and Finale to create pieces, - I was using Plogue Bidule vst host and Crystal vst, mostly, and some Cubase and Kontakt sometimes. Second year was more oriented on Midi controllers, especially from Finale and Kontakt, and the goal of the year being the ability to create as well as possibel a classical piece (the most real-orchestra-alike sounding))

I did learn Bach's [complex] theory and techniques on how to start pieces, from basic ones to much more complex (4-5 instruments, quartet/quintet, with Counterpoint and Fugue theory).

I will see if I have any files/stuff left :P

By the way, does Google Adsense detect if click through ads are bots or not? Because if CK gets a lot of money from ad revenues with so few members visiting it, then that means that a lot of the revenues are generated by undetected spambots and web crawlers.
- Google AdSense does detect false clicks (probably by some IP background check and some other ways if possible)
- I don't believe bots will click anywhere else than what they're done for. An ad-clicking bot specially crafted to be smart enough not to be detected as non-human would be greatly done, IMHO, to be able to defeat Google's "security".
Google actually bans the AdSense account in case of 2-3 issues (which can happen fast, and even by mistake), so...

Omnimaga used to average at 900000 page hits per month, not counting external pages and sub-domains such as the ASM Unsquisher, old copies of the site and image folders. After the site was modded to almost completely eliminate spambots, the traffic dropped to 600000.
That's a lot, still :o

Concerning this topic, I agree with Netham's post.
Good thing we also have matt's version of the story. Always good to have several point of views.
