Math and Science / Re: nth derivative
« on: March 08, 2014, 07:22:05 am »
It's certainly doable. But I'm guessing that most people aren't too concerned with integrating such features natively, as they already work fairly well as simple parser hooks and MathPrint is a decent enough replacement for Symbolic. Finding someone with the intersection of motivation and OS patching/hooking skill (unless that someone is you) could be tough.
That someone could be thepenguin77. But then, he's probably busy with real life as well :p

Math and Science / Re: TI-84 program for indefinite integrals
« on: March 06, 2014, 01:17:02 pm »
The main concern would be speed. You can't afford to spend 5 minutes waiting on a result from your calculator.
Decompiling an app is simple. The are online disassemblers, you can find em under 'tools' on the frontpage. You'll have to figure out which code does what,  though, because comments aren't compiled ;)

I like the idea a lot! Look forward to seeing it released. Regarding the amount of replies, that might be related to the fact that most users don't (yet) have a CSE.

Oh, and an idea: you could make the railway stations linking programs, because they also transfer stuff? You could make it graph link, TiLP, ti-connect and the nspire linking program. Just an idea :)

Congrats on the feature! You can now say that you have surpassed the 87 1/3.14 % of the community who never got a feature. :P

Slowly getting used to the new theme and I must say, Eeems' KISS puristicy (wut) seems to pay off, it looks nice. Only the navigation bar needs a revamp. I would like if it was somewhat wider, just like on the old forums.
If that's added, I'll be very content and happy. :3

TI Z80 / Re: zStart - an app that runs on ram clears
« on: March 01, 2014, 01:40:28 pm »
Wait, this isn't possible. You can't beat the ON + CLEAR ever. Sorry. Like, complete abort.
I guess you could put in a password thing, most thieves probably won't know about those sorta-debug modes, as it's pretty much only known in the community. And I guess thieves are not in the community. (But you never know)

Regarding removing the program title: Make that a switchable, please! I never liked how DCS removed the program name, sometimes I was like "Uh, which program is this?" when I pulled the calc out of APD.
Writing that, I wonder if you could control the APD timer? Would be cool :D
