To be honest, the company isn't exactly the greatest out there. It's well known in the hosting community as a ducky company due to overselling, lack of transparency when major events happen (such as getting hacked), service problems, employee arrogance, etc....
In my personal experience, it's not too bad. I've had a food uptime until just recently, when my VPS started going wonky and shutting down by itself. Customer service says that they are working on it, but as of yesterday my VPS is still down...
Bottom line: don't use this for important websites/bots/etc! Almost perfect for a MC server (just make sure to save the world and back it up frequently), and really perfect for a development server! (Web, coding, IRC, etc.)

To clarify about buying vs. leasing:
Leasing is borrowing the server, so to speak. It means that we agree on a certain period of time you want the server, and you can either prepay the total amount (preferred) or pay each month. Breaking this agreement is not allowed. However, once the borrow period is over, you can opt to renew/change the contract, or terminate it. For example, Bob gets the VPS for 3 months and pays $21. He then decides he likes the VPS and changes his contract for 6 months, and pays $42. He then gets more money and decides to move to a better VPD, thus ending his contract. The VPS is then leased to someone else. This is best if you're not sure how long you will keep the VPS.
Buying means that you have complete ownership of the VPS. You still pay $7/month. However, this means that if you have to sell it, you'll have to do what I do - post here! This is best if you are planning to keep and use the VPS for a long time!
In both cases, you still have access to the server and server control panel. The only real difference is whereas buying it gives you complete ownership, leasing allows you to easily "drop" the VPS if you don't want it anymore.
If you're confused about why I didn't just cancel the VPS... It's because this price and specs are a one-of-a-kind deal that doesn't exist elsewhere in the VPS marketplace. Rather than wasting it, why not give it to someone else?
Also, multiple leasing is possible - 2+ people can "lease" a server, but make sure that everyone finds a way to pitch in!

Well, a lot of us were playing, back in the days when everyone was playing, but we never really had an official server, just a bunch of members who ran their own servers on their servers and everyone were playing on them.

It was decommissioned because lack of interest... It hasn't been deleted though, and the server's (VPS, not MC) is still running. Once the withg move is made, I'd be happy to sell stake or even the entire server. Why sell? Well, because the price is really lucrative... *wink wink*

SSL fixed! ----------- Our SSL certificate quietly expired at the beginning of October. (If you're curious, it's October 6th to be exact.) We use the same cert on ZNC and NGINX, as they were on the same domain. NGINX went unnoticed (unless you were using webmail or some secure site on withg.org), but ZNC didn't... and people could no longer connect. Sorry about that!
If your client refused to connect, it means that it strongly enforces the SSL certificate's validity. If you have such a client, simply disable SSL checking and/or set an option to still connect, even if the certificate is invalid.
(NOTE: If you are super-paranoid, this is NOT an option you should change.)
If you are using XChat/Hexchat, open your Network List. (You can do so by accessing the menu XChat > Network List... or Hexchat > Network List...) Select the ZNC "network" that you created, and click Edit. Then check the box that says "Accept invalid SSL certificate". Once checked, make sure the "Use SSL for all the servers on this network" box is still checked, and then close the window. You're done! From now on, you can continue to connect to ZNC, even with a bad SSL certificate! (Hopefully you won't have to deal with that again.)
Long story short, basically I forgot that the emails reminding me to renew the SSL certificate were actually important. For that, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience I may have caused you. I'll make sure that will not happen again!
And yes, it's fixed! Both NGINX and ZNC have the new certificate. If you are still seeing warnings, clear your cache and try again.

The withgusto Network started out as a simple VPS, and eventually evolved into a full blown “network”... if you consider 3 disjointed servers a network, that is!
However, I’ve been supporting the network for pretty much the whole time the network is active. People have offered donations, but I’ve pretty much refused them. (shmibs, that Amazon GC is still active - you can still redeem it for yourself!) Now that I’m heading for college, I can’t afford to throw my money around anymore. I’m dedicating my time to learning quite a bit in college, so no paying jobs for me. (My jobs allowed me to pay for the servers - so yeah, no magical thousand dollar bank account here!)
Did you catch my hint? Yup, there’s a big change:
From now on, servers on the withgusto Network will be financially supported by the community. I can no longer support the network, and will no longer do so.
Right now, the server bill looks like this:
withg.org: $15.00/month ($180/year)
backup.withg.org: $25.00/year or around $2.10/month
backup2.withg.org: $7.00/month ($84/year)
withg.org backup service @ Rackspace/JungleDisk: $12.00/month ($144/year)
Total: $36.10/month ($433/year)
Yikes! So much money down the drain, right? That’s why there’s another big change:
withgusto Networks will be consolidating services to reduce costs and make donations to the server somewhat more easy and affordable.
...now before everyone goes crazy, what this means is that we’re just reducing our spending amount. It does NOT mean that we’ll be shutting down our network. The only way the network goes down is if there’s no more interest in it, and/or no one is paying for it at all.
Budget consolidation is by no means cutting (but it can be involved, too). For us, it means finding better providers that can offer a MUCH lower price for their services. It can also mean combining servers into one and removing some unneeded services. Whatever it is, it means that there should be no losses from making the bill smaller.
My current proposition for consolidation:
Removing the withg.org backup service. The $25/year server can do that, and probably even better.
Switching providers for withg.org. This is a little tricky because the provider I’m looking at uses a different VPS virtualization software, which is slightly more restricted... but we’ll see. (We use a KVM VPS at the moment, and the new cheaper one uses OpenVZ.)
If the “price is right”, we may even consider merging backup2.withg.org into withg.org, reducing costs significantly.
Some “fundraising” on our part. To be determined.
The proposition is just a proposition - consolidation will ONLY happen after the withgusto community has a thorough discussion about what to do. (Other people might have better ideas, too!)
After all of that, where do I stand? I will continue to be the main admin for withgusto Networks, toddling around with the server during the school year, but I will be looking for more admins in the coming weeks to help support withgusto. No worries - current admins will still be admins, but they are far more busier with their lives, and new admins would help support withgusto when they’re busy!
And, not to forget: I will no longer offer financial support to withgusto. At most, if there are problems with securing donations, I will sponsor 1-2 months of funds in a year. But if the monthly donation pool doesn’t meet the goal, then withgusto will be shut down.** No exceptions at all - even if $10,000*** worth of donations came in, it still has to go down. (So yes, prompt monthly donations are a MUST!) I really can’t afford to spend any more money on this... sorry.
No worries - given the strength of the withgusto community, I’m certain that we’ll have enough money to keep it running from now on!
** It will be shut down after an extra month of uptime to allow for backups. *** If you really did donate that much, then that’s another story. My point is that if you just donated the monthly amount after the bills are due, then I have no way of supporting it further.
OK, now to the much more merrier news...
Coming Soon - Server Updates! ============================== Yes, server updates! The withgusto server has been gathering some dust, so we’ll be making a few cool updates soon!
#0 - Donation Website ---------------------- While we are still on the topic of money... there will be two donation pools set up. One donation pool is to help pay for the servers each month, and another is for the poor college kid (me)! (The former should take more priority over the latter!)
Come next month, I will be in $5000+ in debt, and $5000+ more the next months as well. This donation pool is NOT - I repeat, NOT - necessary for the withgusto Network to stay alive. However, if you are feeling generous, put something in the tip jar every month! Feeling guilty for doing something bad? Relieve your conscience by donating to me! Feeling bored? Throw numbers and numbers into my tip jar number counting script!
In all seriousness, please do consider donations to the server. Then, if you have some extra cash, please consider helping me out!
#1 - Debian 7 x64 ------------------ Our servers are running an updated Debian 6 x86. Debian 7 has been out for some time, and some remaining bugs have been knocked out. Furthermore, the repositories that provide withgusto with updated server software have enabled support for Debian 7. Therefore, we are pretty much ready to upgrade!
The really nice feature about Debian 7? Its support for multiarch. Did you notice that we mentioned x64 instead of x86? That’s because with multiarch, we can install and run both the “native” x64 software and the x86 software at the same time!
We are preparing for our upgrade soon, so stay tuned! In the meantime, gear up your backuping-fu, because we’re getting ready to move!
#2 - withgusto Central Authentication System (CAS) --------------------------------------------------- Have access to withg.org, but don’t have access to the RAM-loaded backup2.withg.org? That’s blasphemy. Unfortunately, pretty much everybody suffers from “withg.org-only-access” syndrome! (Except for the admins, of course...) How can we fix that?
The answer? A central authentication system, using LDAP and Kerberos. In the future, once Debian 7 is installed, we will be migrating to a central authentication system. You will still login via SSH/SFTP/FTP to gain access to the server, but this time, you will only have to worry about one login and password on the main server: withg.org. Once you have an account on withg.org, you can access backup.withg.org and backup2.withg.org immediately with the same credentials. Isn’t that cool?
This also means that for current (and future) services, one-login-for-all might be implemented for it.
#3 - Website and Services Redesign ----------------------------------- Sometime soon, we hope to release a new version of our withgusto website! At the same time, we will be revamping our services (like mail/webmail, ZNC, and others) to make it stable and user-friendly to use! We’re also looking into a web control panel (ISPConfig or Webmin) for making management easier for both admins and users alike. Stay tuned!

You can't take the two tests at the same time... unless you mean that you're taking AP Calculus BC, which encompasses AP Calculus AB in material and whose test provides an AB subscore as well.
NECROPOST, MY FRANNS! I'm somebody who takes interest in this stuff. I could find uses for an SD card capable, Wifi using, super calculator. I'd design it for Debian ARM or something. Where did this project ever go?

Debian ARM designing? That's probably harder than designing a Z80 calc! And Wifi using? Good luck convincing CollegeBoard.
This project is 99.9% dead. After taking a Digital Electronics class, I kinda realized that the skills I were learning isn't enough to design, say, a Z80 calculator. It'll take another 4 years in college to do that! (Talk to me in 4 years if you really want me to work on this. Chances are that I'll either be busy considering grad school or actually working...)
As for now, I have 0 motivation to work on this project, lacking any skills myself and any potential assistance for this project. I've also kinda moved away from calculator development in general, so... yeah, consider this dead until further notice.
I think TI was aiming at prohibiting something like BootFree. At the same time, TI is also (likely) trying to hinder emulator development for the TI-84 C by forcing emulator developers to buy the device and tinker with it before being able to write a good emulator. Two birds with one stone (or EULA clause)!
Though to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if they decided in the future to sneak something in the EULA for the calculator (box label and such) prohibiting use of it at all for dumping ROMs and emulating... assuming they haven't done this already! (Or are planning to when they release the TI-84+ C)

We have updated ZNC to v1.0! The new release (a jump from 0.x!) supports multiple networks on one username! As a result, the following changes have been made: (some of this adapted from the ZNC changelog)
* Your username is now USERNAME, not USERNAME-NETWORK. You need to change your auth config! * To login to ZNC, use user/network:password as password, or user/network as username. Also, you can switch between different networks on the fly using the /znc JumpNetwork command. A network called "default" has been created for each user - EFNet is the current "default". Settings from each user are moved into these "default" networks. When you log into ZNC without setting a network, the "default" network will automatically be chosen for you. * Users can create new networks up to an admin-configurable limit. By default, this limit is onefive networks per user. * You can see a list of networks via /znc ListNetworks and /znc ListAllUserNetworks.

Even though I'm a high school senior, I continue to work as hard as I can to maintain good grades, and it's hard and time-consuming! (And on top of that, I do a lot of work in FIRST Robotics, which is coming up...)
Nevertheless, I still maintain the Omnimaga services that I host. The only reason things have been going down is because my VPS provider is being silly - and my response is rather slow Sorunome has taken over (for the most part) OmnomIRC coding and features, as well as the New post bot, both of which are hosted on withg.
As for others, 57o9's going poof has been a major activity decrease causer (at least on IRC), since a lot of data (and accounts) were on that server. It's not even known if the data is recoverable at all. (In case withg users are wondering, the main server withg.org has daily backups, though I'm planning to change backup providers soon. Hmm, that's where my money is being drained... )
So yeah, the "state of the Omnimaga" from my perspective.
As for withgusto, I do not plan to shut it down for a loooong time. If anything big, I may decide to sell it to someone and let them take over. However, I will be eventually moving to a 100% donation-supported service, since I will be going to college soon and footing the massive tuition bill! (No worries - from time to time, I will pitch in. If it ever comes to a point where donations stop, I'll backup all the data and make sure at least 2 admins have it before it is shut down.)
BTW, about the SDL_GetTicks() issue you mentioned earlier, it was my fault. I had completely forgotten to uncomment a line in nSDL that enabled bus access for the timer, and consequently it worked on the emulator but not one the actual hardware (i.e., it returned always 0). It was extremely dumb and careless from me, but I've updated it now, SDL_GetTicks() should work now (I've tested it on both physical calculators, everything runs smoothly).
Let's just pretend that 1.1.0 never existed.
