Calculator C / Re: Nspire keypress errors...« on: September 01, 2010, 05:57:02 pm »
This problem is not caused by my computer OS (thankfully)!
Before my computer was reset, I used to compile/store my programs in the Ndless folder, using the header files from Ndless. When I started fresh on this computer, I started using bwang's skeleton, which did not contain "volatile" in the "isKeyPressed(" function. The problem was caused because I was including a different header. 1098
Calculator C / Re: Nspire keypress errors...« on: September 01, 2010, 04:12:22 pm »
ExtendeD, that seems to fix the issue for me. Thanks!
Another intresing thing that happened while I had this problem was that the "home" key was completly unresponsive, unlike the other keys, which would only freeze up after holding them down for a little while. Also, thanks _player1537 for compiling this for me! 1099
Calculator C / Re: Nspire keypress errors...« on: August 31, 2010, 10:37:47 pm »
Both, I have only experienced them on hardware, but in an e-mail conversation with someone using a fixed version for the CAS, they told me they had problems too.

Calculator C / Nspire keypress errors...« on: August 31, 2010, 10:29:14 pm »
Ever since I set up my new computer, I have been experiencing serious problems with keypresses in the programs I am compiling. I have found that the programs themselves are running slower (I have had to lower my key delay by about half) and pressing a key for an extended period of time, say 5 seconds, causes the calculator to completly freeze...
Does anyone know what could be causing this. I have tried compiling Block Dude, Trapped, the Ndless demo, Ncaster, and bwang's picture viewer and the problem persists in each case. Also, would someone be willing to compile Block Dude for the Nspire CAS for me? I had a compiling error in the version I uploaded to ticalc.org (I used the NON CAS header), and I need to upload a new version ASAP. I have attached a .zip of a skeleton containing the block dude files. 1101

That is sad to hear.
Stealing programs is bad. 1102
Introduce Yourself! / Re: Yo« on: August 31, 2010, 05:14:36 pm »My class requires a TI-84 Plus which I have the keyboard for, and I could get by just fine with a TI-83, so I'm not worried about an older OS. Well, there is one major drawback to using OS 1.1--the power management bug. This affects all Nspires not manufactured in 2007. In order to turn the calc on (or should I say, the screen), you need to pull a battery or reset the calc (pulling a battery is the only option in 84 mode). 1103

Chip's Challenge for Ti-Nspire / Re: Chips Challenge for TI-Nspire« on: August 30, 2010, 09:18:58 pm »
Yeah, porting code by copying and pasting would probably be very hard.
Even when I say I am going to "port" Tile World, I moreso mean that I might copy pieces of code from Tile World (ex, the game engine) and write other parts myself. 1106
TI-Nspire / Re: yaCAS - xCAS for nspire blue« on: August 30, 2010, 07:48:07 pm »
Well, I looked at the code, and it seems to be in C/C++, so I guess it would be possible, like many other free, open source CASs.
I have thought about porting a CAS to the Nspire myself, but, personally, I think it would be more worthwhile to write a TI-89/HP 49 Series Emulator for the Nspire, as that would not only give us CAS functions, but also the ability to run the programs compatible with those calculators. I have several major projects that I am working on now, and I am not in the position to start another project right now. I am confident that we will eventunally see a CAS program for the Nspire. 1107

I know, but for what I use the Notes App for, I never have to edit, only view.
