If you have OS 1.3 or OS 1.7, Nleash is not needed to downgrade to OS 1.1; Nleash is only needed for OS 2.1.
Good luck with your new Nspire. 1145

Yeah, as bwang said, we might not see these tools released for a while, if ever.
Also, that link should definately be removed. It might cause viruses, as many torrent websites are known for this. 1146

Try right clicking on the program you want to send and click "Send to TI device". That might work.

TI-BASIC / Re: nspire basic program not working« on: August 23, 2010, 09:21:16 pm »
Make sure you hit control+b in the program editor to store the program. That is the only thing I can think of that is wrong (I tested the code on my Nspire and it worked fine)

I guess I will have to update my Nspire when I can send files again.
I can't say I have used the 83/84 family of calcs much, but DCS has added a lot of functionability to the parts of this calc I use! 1149

Resending the OS?
Download the OS you want (if you don't want 2.1, I believe 1.7/2.0 is on TI's website, you can get them from TI Bank), then open computer link 1.4, and in one of the tabs on the top (I forget which one and I have no way to check now), there is an option "send OS". Just choose the OS file you want, and it will upgrade/downgrade/resend the OS to the calculator. 1150

Myntal, the same exact thing has been happening to my Nspire for the past few days (I am using DCS 6.8 BETA btw). I don't have any idea why this happens. I wonder if it has to do with DCS or it could be something else. Even 2nd, Mode, 0, On will not fix this for me. I am sure that resending the OS will easily fix this (I have just been too lazy to do it to mine).

Miscellaneous / Re: Paragraph opinions and proofreading?« on: August 23, 2010, 05:07:27 pm »Depending on how your paragraph is being graded (and possibly the topic), it may be better to try and avoid using any 1st/2nd person words, including I, me, my, we, you. This is true for a formal essay, but he is supposed to give his direct opinion on the subject. From what I have been taught by an english teacher who would kill you if you used one of these words once in a formal essay, it is ok to use a personal pronoun in this less formal paragraph stating an opinion. 1152

Honestly, I can't blame them for trying to block ASM/C programs. They are being pressured by the education market to block these programs. Their decisions are greatly based on the opinions of teachers.
