I really can't see justifying the investment required for the commercial products when you have a freeware as high quality as Open MPT. And since it's constantly updated, it's always improving. and, if you feel so inclined you may make your own modifications to the source. Of course it's more difficult to use than those sort of "instant music makers" (as it were), but the added features are more than enough for me to make the switch.

Modplug tracker,it's actually free(I mean legitimately free:D)and far more capable than Babya Logic Pro (the software I was using before). Unfortunately the midi exported by Babya is very strangely formatted so it's very hard to edit in modplug. So I'm redoing some of it with pretty new samples.

Not gay, just misguided musically ;D. An interesting thought, but  I still don't see the point of listening to it in a comfortable setting.

Yeah, lol. BTW I just changed music programs, so that's going to increase the delay for my posts a bit, but I think the upgrade is worth the time needed to learn the system.

I've signed up for an account so, I think they will. But yeah, I've been using mediafire for quite a while now. Though it would seem that rapidshare isn't nauseatingly horrid anymore.

The only reason I have a dislike for most music out there is the general lack of musical thought or skill. Maintream rock is almost entirely composed of terribly conceived music that people like merely because it does not require thought to fully perceive. Kansas, combined the beat of R&b with the classically-based prog rock to create something that I could probably listen to for days nonstop.

I've never really been a fan of the techno genres primarily because, from experience it seems to me that the whole damn thing is based on starting with a percussion loop, then slowly adding looped arpeggios and other basic patterns and then winding down for the end. Meaning, in a musical sense it has no value whatsoever. Perhaps I have been misled, and if so, please direct me towards an example that disproves my current impression. I'd love to be proven wrong (more music for me!).

I was home sick today and decided to start working on some musical composition. Thus far I have maybe one completed track. When completed The work as a whole will be entitled "Force Of Nature."

Thus Far I have:
01 I. The Tempest
02 II. God Of War
03. III Overdrive

These are intended as movements of a larger piece (Hence the roman numerals). My objective was to create something in the vein of Prog. I'll post links upon finding a place to put.

EDIT: I've added links to the files as they are now. They are still incomplete, but I felt like posting them.

I wish I could help but... Java doesn't apply in this situation. It really is a shame this shut down though. Now the only thing to be excited about in the world of TI is the Zelda game.

Seriously, the only song I can think of that I like less than that is "Chocolate Rain." That damn thing is five minutes long, everyother line is the same and it has this horribly repetitive piano part in the background. Essentially the entire song could be about two lines long.

Wow... I hate Rick Astley, but not as much as Tay Zonday. Nice job though.

Just for future reference. Any mods or setting changes applied to the forum WILL affect ALL mods or settings throughout the forum (Where they would interact). Due to the fact the these mods are a part of the forum as a whole. This is based on my own experience with SMF (though my website) as well as inferences that could be made based on knowledge of programming languages. An example from my own website is the auto-embed flash, which affects the SMF shoutbox as well. My point is that this sort of tactic should work for any similar problem ever encountered.

It's great that the site is back. did anyone else notice that the topic sounds a lot like a movie title?

Please take note of the actual punctuation marks featured in this post. their kind is rarely seen anymore.
