I think that's caused by the background not being redrawn. If yor emulator has a 'Force redraw' function, checking that should fix it.

Gaming Discussion / Re: Your best video game pickups.« on: September 01, 2013, 06:42:15 pm »€20 for a second-handed mario galaxy wii? I think I paid that for a new one when it was still sold in stores.Darn, when I bought Midway Arcade Treasures 3 for the Xbox in 2006 I think I paid $20 for it. Also flea markets here suck since sellers follow Ebay prices for retro games. We got some of those here too. €40 for black ops 2 wii, €20 for mario galaxy wii etc. Just don't buy those. You can get them for far less. 288
Gaming Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on the Nintendo 2DS?« on: September 01, 2013, 04:52:05 pm »
Shouldn't the 1DS have an 1D-screen?
EDIT: since DS stands for dual screen, it should actually have 2 1D screens. I wonder what kind of games you could play on that... 289

How does it move up/down? Is it pulled by a piece of string? (It's hard to see on the video)

Is the 3Ds backwards compatable, or is that something only the 2ds has?Nintendo handhelds have always had some backwards compatibility, so the 3DS can probably run NDS/DSi games as well. (I'm not 100% sure because I don't own one) 292

Is that just a 3DS with it's 3D screen replaced by a 2D one? Isn't technology meant to get better over time, not worse?

Miscellaneous / Re: Double Post bug« on: August 30, 2013, 04:03:06 pm »
Maybe the filter is configured incorrectly? I alreade had a notice a few times that a post I made was a double post. Then it blocks the post button and the only way to still post it is to copy the post, go back to the thread, click the reply button again and paste your post there.
I guess that problem might have something to do with this one. 294
Humour and Jokes / Re: Weird/funny pictures thread« on: August 30, 2013, 02:23:12 pm »Btw the frozen mentos trick won't work unless the water you put them in is already near freezing point when you put them in the freezer, otherwise the mentos will dissolve a bit, preventing the wanted reaction from occuring.I think that the wanted reaction won't occur regardless of how the menbtos were frozen, because when the ice melts, the whole mentos won't just 'pop out' of the still frozen part of the ice, but instead, at first it will only be a little bit exposed, which causes the soda to release all off it's gas in a slower, less explosive manner. And if the reaction would still occur at it's desired speed, the soda will release all of it's gas, but (almost) no soda will go out of the glass, because with the ice, the mentos float, and the gas is released at the surface. Therefor, the gas can just fly straight out of the glass without pushing up the soda as it would when the mentos can sink to the bottom. 295
The Axe Parser Project / Re: Features Wishlist« on: August 25, 2013, 06:51:43 pm »
I'd like to suggest a feature:
Axe libraries are fully recompiled everytime you compile a program that uses them. It can often take over half the time needed to compile the program. Therefore, it would be nice if there was a way to precompile axe libraries (maybe into axioms?), to decrease the time needed for compilation. 298
Other Calc-Related Projects and Ideas / Re: TI-30xs II programming« on: August 22, 2013, 04:48:02 pm »Yeah true, although I wasn't sure if more work was done on trying to find a solution afterward. I didn't follow these discussions as regularly anymore at one point. Is the calc still sold, by the way?I think they are still sold. A friend has bought one a few months ago in The Netherlands (might have been Belgium as well). I don't know if it's fully the same calc though. It's white, but looks the same for the rest, and I don't know the full version number, though it starts with TI-30x. 299
Gaming Discussion / Re: How to not do parralax scrolling« on: August 18, 2013, 03:09:32 pm »
It does create a 3D looking effect, but the way this is done makes it look like the character keeps going in circles.
